About the Book

“… (the) lessons, words, vision, and inspirational stories not only impacted me in the NFL, but as a man. I am grateful for his significance in my life…  we either ‘move’ or we ‘die.’”—Russell Wilson, NFL Quarterback Chris Carlisle, former Superbowl champion Performance Coach, has written a book that blazes a clear path from where you presently are to where you expect to be. There are two kinds of people in the world: those who are stuck and those who are moving towards accomplishing their grandest dreams. Which one are you? On one hand, there are people who became stuck behind life’s barriers and eventually stagnated because they had no idea how to move on. Without a plan to move forward, these people will eventually face their professional death. On the other hand, there are people who were confronted with similar issues but had the tools to find a way to continue moving towards their dreams and goals. They kept on moving down the line, and so can you. Chris’s ideas come from his own experience and work shaping the ideals of the highly motivated. From dealing with his own hardships to helping others battle through intense competitions, Carlisle has found a way to break through barriers. This book helps paint the picture that great things are being done by common people. Why not you? Have you been told you weren’t good enough? Have you been pigeonholed in a job? Are you watching people live the life you know was meant for you? Step by step, Move or Die will put in motion a simple plan to move forward in your life, including: Understanding who you are and where you want to be Recognizing that the “grind” is not a bad thing, but essential to being successful Realizing the power in being a non-linear thinker And much more! Everything that you have always hoped you could be is not just a pipe dream—it can be a reality. You just have to keep moving.

Carlisle focuses on professional and personal development, successful habits of champions in sports and business, and the work habits and leadership principles that allowed them to climb to the top rung of their profession. Why live to the beat of someone else's drum when you are the only one that knows and understands the music within you. No one knows better, than you, the extent of your abilities. After graduating from Chadron State College with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Chris went on to earn a Master's Degree in History from the University of Arkansas. His professional career started as an educator and coach at the high school level, then moved up from collegiate sports to the NFL, winning championships at every level. As his reputation as a motivational speaker grew, he left the coaching profession to focus solely on helping individuals, companies, and teams become efficient successful endeavors.

Review :
“Chris Carlisle helped set the foundation for Pete Carroll's historic run at USC and for the transition from being a national title team in college football to a Super Bowl Champion in Seattle with his innovative approach to developing and nurturing elite athletes.
