What happens when you mix faith in Jesus, a longing to serve in China, and moving to Israel with a dysfunctional family, abuse and the death of your dreams? Dvora responded to the call of her heritage, moved to Israel, developed a successful career, and had a fruitful ministry among Chinese students...but her internal world was fractured. She married at 52 and became a widow at 55. Would trusting in God really be enough?

Review :
I like real! I like raw and painfully honest stories told with grit and tenacity! To me - they are the only kind worth reading. What most drew me in to Dvora's story was her utter ability to be vulnerable and transparent to the point that I could almost feel myself present in the stories she so beautifully shares this in this book of redeemed brokenness. This is a great read and delivers a precious message of hope for the shattered pieces of our lives. --Joan L. Turley, Author of Sacred Work in Secular Places
If I were to describe this book in ONE word...hmmm honesty...no maybe sincerity...no perhaps strength....no heart break...I guess to do it in a word...no cannot be done...This book are all these and more told in a heartfelt and warm way that it is hard to put done...thank you Dvora well DONE!!! -- J.W. Neal, Founder, CEO at Gold Cup Financial, Inc

Her careful and thoughtful style gives hope to those who struggle to see the reasons behind the trials they face, and how God's hand has masterfully been a part of the process all along. We cannot see the connection until we look back--with Dvora Elisheva's help, we can find peace, as she did. A journey worth taking. -- Nanette O'Neal, author of A Doorway Back to Forever: Believe.
As autobiographies go, this one stands alone as a testimony to Faith's role in overcoming the horrors life can throw at a person and coming out victorious on the other side of the Valley of the Shadow. Although Dvora's experiences provide difficult reading, her story provides encouragement for others who may have been, or are currently facing such challenges. This reviewer gives this book five stars for honesty and integrity in recounting a tough life without becoming maudlin or going into graphic details all while telling a compelling story that kept this reader's interest. It's worth the time spent reading it. --Verified Kindle Customer (April 21, 2017)
Dvora Elisheva shares straight from her heart and holds back nothing! Her personal struggles with family dysfunction, abuse, dissociation, her sexuality, and the death of her beloved husband are shared freely and unreservedly. Life events such as these challenge one's faith. Her valuable insights are nuggets of gold to anyone who is searching for answers. --Susan B. (aka Obie, Executive Director, Christians in Recovery (christians-in-recovery.org) and Alcoholics Victorious (AlcoholicsVictorious.org)
In Connecting the Dots of a Disconnected Life, Dvora Elisheva courageously confronts personal issues most people would choose to avoid. She weaves together a seemingly unconnected patchwork of events, at times challenging the very beliefs that were foundational to her life, and pens words of encouragement based on an immovable anchor of hope. We want to defend her, cry with her, yell enough with her, and rejoice with her, as the clouds of life begin to dissipate and the sky becomes clear and bright. Her story has something for all of us, whether we look back at the dots in our own lives, or look forward to the challenges of connecting the dots that lie before us. --Marvin S. Kramer
