The Most Rev. Michael B. Curry is the Episcopal Church’s 27th Presiding Bishop. He was the Bishop of North Carolina from 2000 to 2015. Bishop Curry has a national preaching and teaching ministry and is a regular on TV and radio and a frequent speaker at conferences around the country. His books include Crazy Christians: A Call to Follow Jesus; Following the Way of Jesus: Church’s Teachings for a Changing World; and Love Is the Way: Holding on to Hope in Troubling Times.
The Rt. Rev. George Sumner was elected as the Seventh bishop for the Diocese of Dallas during a Special Convention in May 2015. Sumner has served in a variety of capacities: youth minister, missionary teacher in east Africa, curate in an inner-city Anglo-Catholic parish, vicar on a native American reservation in New Mexico and Arizona, and rector in a small town. He has a Ph.D. in theology and an M.Div. from Yale and a B.A. from Harvard College. He lives in Dallas, Texas. Robert W. Prichard has been teaching liturgy at Virginia Theological Seminary since 1979. While his primary publications have been in church history, he has contributed occasional articles to journals and collections about the liturgy. Prichard has been a General Convention deputy since 2006 and has twice served on the General Convention's Joint Committee on Liturgy and Music. At the convention of 2015, he served as one of the two secretaries of that body. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia. R. William Franklin is Assisting Bishop of Long Island and the author or editor of seven books. He lives in New York City. The Rt. Rev. Allen K. Shin was elected bishop suffragan for the Diocese of New York on December 7, 2013. Born in South Korea, Allen K. Shin and his family moved to Washington, D.C. in 1972, where he attended Gonzaga College High School, a Jesuit school for boys. He has an M. Div and MTS from the General Theological Seminary and pursued post-graduate studies in Patristic Studies at the University of Oxford. He lives in New York City. Katharine Jefferts Schori was the ninth bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Nevada and the former Presiding Bishop and Primate of the Episcopal Church of the United States. She lives in Nevada and is the author of A Wing and a Prayer: A Message of Faith and Hope and The Heartbeat of God: Finding the Sacred in the Middle of Everything.
Sheryl Kujawa-Holbrook is Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty and Professor of Practical Theology and Religious Education at Claremont School of Theology. A priest of the Episcopal diocese of Los Angeles ,she is a religious educator, practical theologian, historian, writer and editor, equity facilitator, and program and retreat leader. Active as a teacher, scholar, and theological educator for almost 40 years, she is the author of 24 books, handbooks, training manuals, curricula, and numerous articles and reviews in academic journals and church publications. A native of Guatemala, the Rt. Rev. Hector F. Monterroso served as bishop of Costa Rica for 14 years before becoming bishop assistant in the Diocese of Texas, July 1, 2017. In addition to his experience as a missionary, and as Bishop of Costa Rica, Bishop Monterroso also served as Secretary General of Province IX (1986-2000); as editor of the Revista Anglicanos for 16 years, a magazine that served the Hispanic diaspora in the Anglican Communion; and as Secretary General of the Anglican Church of the Central Region of America. He lives in Houston, Texas. Robert Fitzpatrick graduated from DePauw University, Greencastle, IN, and received a Master of Divinity degree from the General Theological Seminary, New York, NY and a Doctor of Ministry degree in homiletics from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Evanston, IL. He came to Hawai‘i in 2000 as a member of the Bishop’s staff, becoming the Canon to the Ordinary (executive officer) in 2002. He was elected as 5th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Hawaiʻi in 2006 and was ordained in 2007. On behalf of The Episcopal Church, he chairs both the Concordat Committee of Full Communion Between the Iglesia Filipina Independiente and The Episcopal Church, and the Joint Committee on Provincial Companionship (JCPC) with The Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Church in the Philippines. He has also served on the Standing Commission on Constitution and Canons, Task Force on Care of Creation & Environmental Racism, and the Ecclesiology Committee of the House of Bishops. He lives in Honolulu, HI.
The Rt. Rev. Robert Wright is the Bishop of the Diocese of Atlanta. He has also served as rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta and as a school chaplain and on the staff of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. He is the co-author with Donna Mote of “The Go Guide,” a book of practical tips for following Jesus into the world. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Kimberly Lucas is eleventh and current bishop of the Episcopal Diocese in Colorado. Lucas is the first woman as well as the first African American to serve as bishop in the diocese. She was consecrated in 2019. Prior to her election, she was rector of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C since 2012. Previously, she was the rector of St. Ambrose Episcopal Church in Raleigh, North Carolina, from 2005 to 2011. Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows is the first black woman to be elected a diocesan bishop in the Episcopal Church. She lives in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Bonnie Perry was elected the Diocese of Michigan's eleventh diocesan bishop on June 1, 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1984 from College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Massachusetts. In 1988 she earned a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York, NY. In 1998 she earned a Doctorate of Ministry specializing in Congregational Development from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Evanston, IL. She lives in Detroit, Michigan. The Rt. Rev. Sean Rowe was ordained bishop of the Diocese of Northwestern Pennsylvania in 2007 and became bishop provisional of Western New York in 2019. He previously served as bishop provisional of the Diocese of Bethlehem from 2014 until 2018. Rowe is known for his research and work on organizational learning and adaptive performance in the church. He serves as parliamentarian for the House of Bishops, chair of the Episcopal Church Building Fund, and vice chair of the Standing Commission on Structure, Governance, and Constitution and Canons. He also serves on the House of Deputies Committee on the State of the Church. He lives in Erie, PA. Rev. Canon Cornelia Eaton served many roles in the Episcopal Church as laity before being ordained to the priesthood on February 7, 2015. She is currently the Canon to the Ordinary for the Episcopal Church in Navajoland. She is a storyteller and a writer of poetry with a particular focus on the Navajo way of life known as Iina Biké Hozhó–being in harmony with divine creation through spirituality, culture, tradition, and relationship. She has deep love and appreciation for the outdoors and enjoys mountain biking, fly-fishing, camping, hiking, and tending to her family sheep camp. She lives in Fruitland, NM The Rt. Rev. Daniel G. P. Gutiérrez was ordained on July 16, 2016, as the 16th bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania, the second oldest and fourth largest in the Episcopal Church. Gutiérrez emphasizes evangelism, discipleship, innovation, creativity, accountability, adaptability, integrity and hope. Bishop Gutierrez lives in Norristown, PA
