'Candace Parker has been a trailblazer on and off the court, inspiring us all with her resilience, authenticity, and purpose-driven life. The Can-Do Mindset delivers a playbook for how we can all achieve greatness on our own terms.' - John Legend, Mike Jackson, and Ty Stiklorius, Get Lifted Books. Candace Parker is a living legend. Her storied career includes three WNBA titles, two Olympic gold medals, and countless MVP Awards. Her career accolades are endless and her impact on the WNBA beyond measure, but Candace is even more inspiring off the court. A proud wife and mother of three, whose love story resonated with the LGBTQ+ community around the world, Candace is fiercely purpose-driven, paving the way for the WNBA's rise in American culture, and for female basketballers to have the impact and platform that used to be reserved for the NBA. But this success didn't happen by accident. From the start, Candace turned her childhood nickname, Can-Do, into a daily mantra that helped her overcome enormous physical and mental hurdles while embracing her vulnerability. In her first-ever book, Candace breaks down that ultimate recipe for success, drawn from the experiences that made her a better person and player. CAN-DO becomes an acronym to live by: Learn from and lean on your Community. Show up as Authentically you. Realize that Negativity is a part of life. Embrace the excitement of the everyday. Dash And fight for Opportunity for yourself and others. It's how Candace has succeeded on the court and off, and it can help readers do so, too. Told through personal stories, The Can-Do Mindset is for Candace's countless fans who want to see behind the curtain of her meteoric career and life, and for all of us who could learn from an icon who lives bravely, unapologetically, and guided by purpose.

About the Author :
Candace Parker has already solidified herself as one of the most influential athletes of this generation. After being selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks, following a champion career at Tennessee, Parker went on to become the first player to earn WNBA MVP and Rookie of the Year honors in the same season, win three WNBA championship titles, and take home two Olympic gold medals. Off the court, first and foremost, she is a wife and a mother of three children and three dogs. Since retiring, she serves as a public speaker, activist, entrepreneur, and studio broadcaster for men’s and women’s basketball.

Review :
“Confidence, grit, determination . . . Candace Parker has it all and now she’s sharing the secrets to her success. I’ve had a front row seat to watching her CAN-DO Mindset in action and I’m excited for other folks to have the opportunity to hear it from her firsthand.” —Shaquille O’Neal

“Candace Parker has been a trailblazer in every sense, showing me what it means to be authentic both on and off the court. Her leadership, wisdom, and commitment to handling adversity with grace have shaped my journey in ways I never expected.” —A'ja Wilson

“Candace Parker dominated on the court for years and she has seamlessly transitioned off the court to the boardroom, broadcast booth, and now as an author. She shares years of hard-won lessons in The Can-Do Mindset. Filled with incredible stories and real insight into facing life’s challenges, this book is a motivating reminder that the only person who can limit what you can achieve is yourself.” —Michael Strahan

“Candace Parker has forever changed the game of basketball. Athletes at every level will recognize her knowledge and passion for the game—her impact is undeniable. But beyond that, her journey will inspire everyone. The Can-Do Mindset will speak to anyone who has struggled in pursuit of their dream, a reminder that resilience, belief, and hard work can take you anywhere.” —Masai Ujiri

“Candace embodies everything CAN DO stands for—resilience, authenticity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Through all our battles, wins, and challenges, I witnessed firsthand how she turned that fire into fuel and led with heart, always inspiring those around her. This book is a reflection of the mindset that made her a champion on the court, a champion in charge, and a champion of the community.” —Nneka Ogwumike

“While we can celebrate the play of Candace Parker for decades—because make no mistake, she has been the best player in the WORLD for most of her career . . . What stands out to me is her resilience. A knee injury at seventeen could have derailed her greatness; she refused. A shoulder injury in the NCAA tournament could have prevented a repeat yet she fought through pain and dislocation to be a champion again. Pregnancy could have changed her path, but instead she mastered motherhood. I am in awe of her not just as a basketball star, but her excellence in everything she takes on. When Pat Summitt was in the later stages of her battle with early onset Alzheimer’s, I went to visit her. Her eyes were clouded, not as present as the coach I knew. But as we started visiting, I brought up a game I had just worked for ESPN and Candace Parker. Coach Summitt’s countenance brightened. The twinkle came back into her eyes. ‘Candace? Yes, she really rebounded well last night.’ Of course Candace Parker is forever memorable. I feel exactly the same way.” —Holly Rowe

“Candace Parker embodies what it means to show up with purpose, passion, and a relentless drive to create change. The Can-Do Mindset is a reflection of the way she lives—pushing through challenges, lifting up those around her, and embracing every moment with confidence and heart. There’s so much wisdom in these pages, and anyone looking to chase their dreams will find inspiration here.” —Allyson Felix

“A true legend, Candace Parker has achieved almost as much off the court as she has on. In all aspects of her life, she has shown up for herself and for those around her with fierce commitment and confidence. Her CAN-DO mindset is as much about being an athlete as it is about being an everyday individual striving to be their best.” —Marc Lasry

“Candace Parker has been a trailblazer on and off the court, inspiring us all with her resilience, authenticity, and purpose-driven life. We are thrilled to work with Candace and present her extraordinary book to readers from all walks of life. The Can-Do Mindset delivers a playbook for how we can all achieve greatness on our own terms.”
