About the Book

Eric Hedin was enjoying a productive career as a physics professor at Ball State University when the letter from a militant atheist arrived and all hell broke loose. The conflict spilled first onto the pages of the local newspaper, and then into the national news. The atheist attack included threats from the Freedom from Religion Foundation, which targeted Hedin after learning his Boundaries of Science course exposed students to an evidence-based case for design and purpose in cosmology, physics, and biochemistry. Canceled Science tells the dramatic story of the atheist campaign to cancel Hedin's course, reveals the evidence the atheists tried to bury, and explores discoveries that have revolutionized our understanding of the nature and origin of matter, space, and even time itself.

Review :
"A profound and insightful look at a vital dimension of scientific inquiry from a courageous scientist. Physicist Eric Hedin shows us how science, more than ever, points to a cosmos charged with meaning and purpose, a universe in which life is no accident." -Rice Broocks, author of God's Not Dead "Canceled Science by Dr. Hedin brilliantly exposes real science truth beyond the constrained materialistic boundaries. An excellent book for all researchers, teachers, and students interested in unbiased origins strategies." -Dr. Henry D. Voss, Emeritus Professor of Physics and Engineering at Taylor University, and Chief Scientist at NearSpace Launch (NSL) "Canceled Science is partly a detective story, partly a peek behind the curtain of the news media, and partly an exploration of where philosophy and the boundaries of science collide, all the while revealing fascinating discoveries that are dramatically transforming how we think about science and faith. Eric Hedin is a PhD physicist who has taught university-level physics for years, but his writing doesn't read like a textbook. Instead, I found myself captured by the book, almost as if Eric had invited me to sit down over a cup of coffee." -Jeff Lilley, Executive Pastor, Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton "Hedin offers a fascinating look inside both the modern university and our modern understanding of the universe. The story of the cancel culture which beset his university teaching experience would make this book worth reading all on its own. But Hedin also has a gift for helping those without a graduate degree in physics understand the surprising and compelling connections between modern science and faith. The combination makes for an excellent read!" -Rick Langer, Director, Office of Faith and Learning, Biola University, Professor, Talbot School of Theology "In his book, Canceled Science, Dr. Hedin reviews some key theories of modern science. His skillful explanation of difficult topics is done with a sense of curiosity and humility. Hedin describes the exceptional fine tuning of the laws of nature and physical constants that allows the universe to have life. With clarity Hedin explains the problems that science has explaining the origins of the universe and life on Earth. In all of this he sees evidence of an intelligent designer. He also tells a personal story of the controversy caused by a college course he developed and taught dealing with the boundaries of science. In this course students were challenged to consider questions they have about themselves, nature and the meaning of life." -Ronald Kaitchuck, Emeritus Professor of Physics and Astronomy, Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana

A Thrilling But Totally Believable Murder Mystery

Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
