About the Book

Carter Rossi moves to Cape Charles, Virginia, for the same reasons as many of the town's residents--to find solitude and reboot his life. Carter quickly discovers an eclectic mix of new arrivals and historic families. Despite political and cultural differences, the groups coexist in harmony. Carter meets the mysterious and beautiful Rose Portman, a parapsychologist who is attempting to find out why Cape Charles is a hotbed for paranormal activity. Could it be the asteroid strike? She is on a quest to discover whether one of the town's resident apparitions is her long-lost great aunt, who died mysteriously around 1920. Rose and Carter's journey is sometimes hilarious, sensual, and spiritually insightful, bending the edges of imagination and reality.

Review :
"Woo-Woo gives me just what I want: a little haunting in my travels. It's a true you-think-you're-there experience. As a writer, I'm jealous. As a reader, I'm delighted." --New York Times Bestselling Author Diane Carey, Star Trek Series "Woo-Woo is a comedy of manners, à la Oscar Wilde, where the damaged main character tries to fit into a strange new world with an arcane and wacky social structure." --Bestselling Author Joe Jackson, the Mina Hohenberg Darden Endowed Chair of Creative Writing at Old Dominion University "Woo-Woo is like an out-of-body experience. It will leave you dizzied. It will leave you seeing and believing things you never saw or believed before". --J.C. Sasser, Author of Gradle Bird "Author Joe Coccaro offers an engaging story and interesting characters using charming prose and an intriguing otherworldly plot. Woo-Woo delivers both laughs and goosebumps. Get ready to be entertained." --Dr. My Haley, Author of The Treason of Mary Louvestre and Collaborator on Pulitzer Prize-winning Roots "Joe Coccaro employs the same quality prose as Richard Russo in telling the story of Carter Rossi's adventures. This is a really great story, and more than that it is a world you are reluctant to leave when you turn the last page." --Amazon Bestselling Author William Hazelgrove, Author of The Pitcher "Woo-Woo captures the essence of an isolated beach community and the colorful people who live there. The added elements of a rambling ghost and a bit of romance make for a fun and satisfying read." --Kathy Merlock Jackson, Professor of Communication and Editor of The Journal of American Culture
