About the Author :
Drew Temperante is a producer, songwriter, and performer specializing in hip-hop, pop, and American roots music. In 2007 he graduated from McNally Smith College of Music with a degree in music production. Drew has cultivated experiences ranging from live sound to radio, and he loves to create music to accompany films, puppet shows, and sing-a-long books. Kelly Canby was born in London, England, but has lived in Australia since the grand old age of three, which is probably about the same age she started playing with pencils and crayons. And it was probably only a few years afteward that she decided playing with pencils and crayons was something she wanted to do for the rest of her life. With a Bachelor of Art (design and illustration) from Curtin University, Western Australia, Kelly has been scribbling professionally, and much more neatly, since her early twenties, predominantly as a graphic designer and now as a freelance illustrator of children's books. Not a day goes by where Kelly has not made some type of doodle or sketch or scribble and she still believes, 100%, that this is what she wants to do for the rest of her life. Blake A. Hoena grew up in central Wisconsin, where he wrote stories about robots conquering the moon and trolls lumbering around the woods behind his parents house. He now lives in Minnesota and enjoys writing about fun things like history, space aliens, and superheroes. Blake has written more than fifty chapter books and dozens of graphic novels for children. Review :
This is one of a very few science related books for science teachers of young children. . . .There are various scientific methods but they have common sequences as the one in this book does. The scientific method used with the young children is well suited for elementary teachers and children. The science relates to Next Generation Science Standards, Practices of Science. The authors have included a few additional activities, glossary, and additional resources.-- "NSTA Recommends"
