He presents the startling fact that the first slaves in the Jamestown Colony in 1619 were not blacks, but whites and that in the antebellum South slave owners were not only white, but black. Jonathan W. Emord is a constitutional and administrative lawyer who has appeared before the federal courts and agencies for 35 years. He is the only attorney in American history to have defeated the FDA eight times in federal court. He served as an attorney in the FCC during the Reagan Administration and as a Vice President at the Cato Institute.
