Since 1982 I have been helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, fear, and low self-esteem. What many people don't know is that past trauma needs to be addressed directly before symptoms like depression, anxiety, anger, and addiction, can really be eliminated. Denice Colson has been working in the field of psychology since graduating from college in 1982. She has worked as a residential treatment counselor with adolescents, an in-patient counselor with children and adults, and an outpatient counselor for adults and adolescents. She is a Christian and has a PhD in Christian Counseling and Spiritual Direction. Dr. Colson has specialized in working with trauma survivors and substance use disorders since 1992. She is the founder of Trauma Education & Consultation Services, Inc., and co-founder of Eagle's Landing Christian Counseling Center, Inc. in Georgia. She is a professional trainer, counselor-supervisor, and sought-after speaker for continuing education programs and ministry events.
