About the Book

The Resonance Effect is both the author's story of her inspirational journey of having the courage to find her true calling and an account of the development a remarkable newly rediscovered treatment, frequency specific microcurrent (FSM), that takes advantage of the body's ability to respond to frequencies in order to heal a number of chronic conditions. Carolyn McMakin, a chiropractor specializing in fibromyalgia and myofascial pain, describes her experience using a two-channel microcurrent device that has achieved astounding results that have changed medicine and created new possibilities for suffering patients over the past twenty years. Nerve pain, fibromyalgia, diabetic neuropathies, muscle pain, athletic performance, injury repair, joint pain, low back pain, neck pain, kidney stone pain, the kidney stones themselves, liver disease, diabetic wounds, brain and spinal cord injuries, PTSD, depression, shingles, asthma, ovarian cysts, abdominal adhesions, and scarring all respond to specific frequencies. McMakin explains that results are predictable, reproducible, and teachable-all without side effects-offering hope and healing to millions of people. McMakin tells the story of how thousands of patients with conditions that did not respond to other medical therapies recovered from pain and disability through the non-invasive treatment that she developed. For example, asthma resolves with specific frequencies that remove inflammation, allergy reaction, and spasm from the bronchi. One frequency combination eliminates shingles pain in minutes and stops the shingles attack with a single three-hour treatment. Since 2005, a series of frequencies has been used to treat hundreds of PTSD patients. Post-surgical patients use FSM to reduce pain, prevent bruising, and increase healing. NFL, NHL, and Olympic athletes use it to heal injuries and improve performance. McMakin includes case histories that illustrate the efficacy of the treatment and shares the specific frequencies that each condition requires so that patients direct their own treatments.

About the Author :
Carolyn McMakin decided to pursue her life-long dream at age forty, when she started premed and enrolled in Western States Chiropractic College. After beginning her practice, she taught a course at Portland State University on the diagnosis and treatment of fibromyalgia and myofascial pain and began seeing a much more complex pain patient population. In 1996, she began treating these patients using frequencies resurrected from a list created in the 1920s. After teaching the frequencies and treatment protocols to determine if they were reproducible, she presented her results at the American Back Society national meeting and published the first fifty cases of neck pain in August 1998. In 1999, she discovered one specific frequency treatment protocol that would eliminate the full body pain of fibromyalgia associated with spine trauma in sixty minutes. Because these results were reproducible, she has continued to present cases and teach seminars since 199, and physicians and practitioners all over the world are using them to help their patients. In addition to treating patients and publishing articles, she has taught courses on frequency specific microcurrent therapy around the world and now maintains a part-time practice in Portland, Oregon.

Review :
“A fantastic read! Whether you are a patient seeking answers or a health care provider looking for breakthroughs, this book will open your eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. Dr. McMakin has created the long-awaited exposé for the emerging field of energy medicine. The stories will inspire you and the information will restore your hope for the future of health care!” —Roger Billica, MD, FAAFP, former NASA space program chief of medical operations   “The Resonance Effect is written by an expert in energy medicine, Dr. Carolyn McMakin. This book is a must for anyone that is interested in both the whys and how tos in the use of energy medicine in healing.” —Jeffrey Bland, PhD, cofounder, Institute for Functional Medicine, and author of The Disease Delusion   “This book will resonate with patients, care providers, and anyone who has a loved one suffering pain or health issues. Harmonic resonances, vibrations, oscillations, and frequencies are the vocabulary of a universal language that is FSM. Witnessing for myself the therapeutic effects of frequency specific microcurrent, on humans and horses, I became an ardent supporter of this science-based work. This book is as good a read as any Harry Potter novel, but it’s not magic. It’s science.” —John Sharkey, MSc, clinical anatomist, exercise physiologist, neuromuscular therapist, and author of Healing through Trigger Point Therapy “I specialize in treating patients who are unusually ill with chronic, severe disabilities. When I first came across frequency specific microcurrent in 2009, it was obvious that this was a unique treatment that could help improve and heal many of those patients. I personally observed dozens of patients with cervical-trauma fibromyalgia, large thyroid goiters, PTSD, shingles, imbalances, and toxicities of widely varying forms respond dramatically to this therapy. The Resonance Effect: How Frequency Specific Microcurrent Is Changing Medicine, describes the author’s journey of scientific discovery. This journey is one that anyone who has been suffering with a chronic illness and not improving with conventional treatment should take with her.” —Neil Nathan, MD, author of Healing is Possible and Mold and Mycotoxins   “I believe that frequency specific microcurrent is the wave of the future, a Star Trek era medicine, available to us now. The Resonance Effect is about how FSM came to be what it is today—a miracle of science and intuition that is a joy to use and experience. This book is a treasure that I found delightful and inspiring, and I think its words will truly resonate with its readers.”—Devin Starlanyl, MD, coauthor of Fibromyalgia & Chronic Myofascial Pain   “Until I personally experienced the rapid and remarkable pain-relieving and healing effects of frequency specific microcurrent, I was a skeptic. Not any more! About fifteen years ago I was experiencing considerable chronic arm pain. One treatment from Dr. McMakin, using frequency specific microcurrent, relieved the problem permanently. Since then I have beneficially referred many patients for FSM when their pain and dysfunction has not responded to my osteopathic approaches. Dr. McMakin’s infectious enthusiasm for the use of FSM is justified. In my personal and professional experience, it is both effective and rapid in encouraging the repair of, and recovery from, damaged and painful tissues.” —Leon Chaitow, ND, DO, honorary fellow, University of Westminster, London, and editor-in-chief, Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies
