About the Book

"Adam Mansbach, whose breakout book Go the F**k to Sleep was recorded by Samuel L. Jackson to viral acclaim, has completely shaken up the children's lit space with his profane, candid, and deeply hilarious odes to the trials of parenthood." --Entertainment Weekly "Larry David is lending his voice to the audiobook version of a popular children's tale. The comedian will narrate F**k, Now There Are Two of You, the third installment in the Go the F**k to Sleep bedtime story series by Adam Mansbach. The sarcastic potty-mouthed book is more for parents than children." --Access "Big [expletive] news! Adam Mansbach, the author of the 2011 New York Times bestseller Go the F**k to Sleep is back with another brutally honest book for parents. It's called F**k, Now There Are Two of You, and you need it in your home library (just not on the shelves the kids can reach)." --TODAY Parents "Now the author of Go the F**k to Sleep, Adam Mansbach, is coming back with another delightfully apt and crude children's book. It's a book for parents who've welcomed their second child and need to explain the new baby to their first offspring, it's going to be titled F**k, Now There Are Two of You--and it's going to be narrated by LARRY DAVID. I don't know how many of you out there have ever thought, 'I really wish Larry David was here to read my child a bedtime story, ' but I'm sure you're all thinking it now, and amazingly, this is a wild, wild dream that's going to come true." --Funny or Die "Adam Mansbach's book F**k, Now There are Two of You, the second sequel to the best-selling Go the F**k to Sleep, addresses what it's like to add a second kid to the mix--and nothing is sugarcoated. That's why the prickly 72-year-old comedian [Larry David] is the perfect narrator." --TODAY Parents, from a feature on Larry David's audio narration "Adam Mansbach, the author of Go the F**k to Sleep, is back with another brutally honest book for tired parents: F**k, Now There Are Two of You. As the sequel's title implies, it's all about the roller coaster that is welcoming a second child into the family." --PopSugar "Mansbach hit exactly the right nerve for exhausted parents who were ready to throw their hands up in the air." --Did You Know? "F**k, Now There are Two of You, seems brilliantly aimed at skewering the frustrating family dynamic of suddenly having two children to deal with instead of just one. Being an American family of four can be tough as shit, and but thankfully, the 'f**k' book series is here to help." --Fatherly Adam Mansbach famously gave voice to two of parenting's primal struggles in Go the Fuck to Sleep and You Have to Fucking Eat--the often-imitated, never-duplicated pair of New York Times best sellers that ushered in a new era of radical honesty in humor books for parents. But what could possibly be left? Parents--new, old, expectant, and grand--of multiple children already knew the answer. Adam discovered it for himself by having two more kids, less than two years apart. Fuck, Now There Are Two of You is a loving monologue about the new addition to the family, addressed to a big sibling and shot through with Adam's trademark profane truth-telling. Gorgeously illustrated and chock-full of unspoken sentiments channeled directly from the brains of parents worldwide, Fuck, Now There Are Two of You articulates all the fears and frustrations attendant to the simple, math-defying fact that two is a million more kids than one. As you probably know by now, you shouldn't read it to a child.

Review :
"Nearly a decade ago, the world was enthralled by a satirical children's book by Adam Mansbach called Go The F**k To Sleep that paired kid-friendly illustrations with a cuss-tinged message about the frustrations of being a new parent...Now, with Mansbach and Brozman coming back for another installment, another famous guy has leant his voice to the inappropriate audiobook version...Larry David (who must think the word 'f**k' is pretty, pretty, pretty good) will read the audiobook for F**k, Now There Are Two of You." --The A.V. Club "The cheeky follow-up is about a household that has grown to a family of four, which (surprise) is harder than one kid. Mansbach knows his material well, having had two kids in less than two years. The result: A hilarious, affectionate monologue addressed to the older sibling. Not to be read to a child." --New York Post, Buzz Book pick "Larry David will narrate the audiobook version of a popular children's tale, in what may be the most sarcastic, dark-humored bedtime story known to man." --CBS News "The third installment in [Mansbach's] series of 'children's books for adults' is F**k, Now There Are Two of You--an honest look at the reality of welcoming a second child." --HuffPost "The book is not appropriate for bedtime reading for children. But the book's description promises a 'loving monologue' about a second child in Mansbach's trademark 'profane truth-telling, ' which is why people laughed so hard they cried through Mansbach's first book." --USA Today "Adam Mansbach, who famously told the world's children, Go the F**k to Sleep, is back with the third installment of his profane picture books...This time around, his loving but overwhelmed narrator is dealing with the demands of caring for a second child. Naturally, the book is called, F**k, Now There Are Two of You." --Washington Post Book Club "Hey, you know when you find out you're having a second baby, and you're overjoyed remembering that sweet newborn smell and thinking of all the cuddles, then you start remembering the sleep deprivation, the crying, the near-constant feeding, realize now you have to face all that while also keeping your older child alive, and go 'Oh, f*ck?' There's a book for that." --HuffPost Canada "In 2011, the bedtime book game was forever changed with Adam Mansbach's epic lullaby, Go the F**k To Sleep. At the time, the book was a revelation for tired parents who, of course, still love their children, but really and truly need kids to take a break for a bit. Now, eight years later, Go the F**k To Sleep is getting a f*cking sequel, F**k, Now There Are Two of You." --Yahoo! Parents "You know the saying, 'It's funny because it's true'? That certainly applies to the wicked funny adult-oriented children's book F**k, Now There Are Two of You by Adam Mansbach with illustrations by Owen Brozman." --Baltimore OUTLoud, included in Holiday Gift Guide "Nothing can prepare you for having two children, but if you're on the precipice, it's worth considering that 'for years--f**king years!--there will not be a time no one's sh*tting or crying or peeing.' Truer words were never printed, bound, and given a glossy cover." --Romper "Known for his knee-slapping, relatably vulgar depictions of the realities of parenthood, Mansbach's new book is described as 'a loving monologue about the new addition to the family.' Written for the oldest sibling of a new baby, F**k, Now There Are Two of You is being recorded by one of the greatest (and Jewish!!) comedic minds of our era: Larry David." --Kveller "From the older child feeling jealous over the new baby, to the parents never having time for adult things, to the exhaustion that comes from trying to handle two energetic children--a lot of people will be able to relate and will find this book both hilarious and honest." --Read Yourself Happy "Many will be familiar with the first two books in this series; Go the F**k to Sleep and You Have to F**king Eat, and this one is in the same vein, written by and for weary parents everywhere. It voices and confirms the same fears all parents of two or more children have; what have we done? Why did we think one kid was hard? Who is going to pay for your college education? The book's text rhymes, and each page is complete with a full-colour illustration depicting the chaos that is parenthood, so it's entertaining on both levels." --I've Read This "This was **** good as the first one!! I couldn't put it down and read it of course in one sitting...If you want a good laugh/cry as a parent this is a must read for you!" --Crossroad Reviews "Adam Mansbach helped a generation figure out how to get their kids to sleep--finally--with Go the F**k to Sleep. Of course, it helped that the irreverent book was narrated by Samuel L. Jackson. It also helped the Mansbach put into words what all struggling parents are feeling. Now he's back with a...profane and candid look at being a parent." --Man of Many "Adam Mansbach has, yet again, brought forth a new chapter in this growing epidemic of our human nature and captured it perfectly." --Exclusive Magazine "If you have one kid, or two or three or four, you will get a chuckle out of reading this book because everything in it is true." --Weekend Notes "Prior fans of Adam Mansbach's candidly hilarious parental struggles in Go the F**k to Sleep will relish this sequel, F**k, Now There Are Two of You, which covers a new arrival to the family and its translation into double trouble for the author." --Donovan's Literary Services "In Two of You, Mansbach locates the humor in stressful group outings, loss of adult time, anxiety over future college tuition, and yes, bedtime." --Columbia College Today "It's the best f**king news we've heard all day: the smash-hit Not Safe For Kids bedtime book, Go The F**k To Sleep is getting another cheeky follow up." --Essential Baby "Adam Mansbach, the guy behind the NSFW lullaby that knocked all other parenting books off the shelf, is back with another R-rated book for parents. You're going to want this one, guys." --Moms "There's some big effing news for parents and lovers of literary expletives. Author Adam Mansbach has released another follow up to his New York Times Bestseller Go the F**k to Sleep, and parents everywhere will undoubtedly relate and rejoice." --The Dad "Parents of two or more are once again expected to double over with laughter reading F**k, Now There Are Two of You." --Café Mom "Anyone with two (or more) little ones will know that face-palm feeling of 'what have we done?' which is well summed up in this sequel." --Parent 24 "We are so here for this because every parent of multiple children knows the amount of work that happens when introducing a second child doesn't double, it quadruples...At the end of the day--after all the toys are cleaned up, the baths are given, the meals go uneaten and you cave and let them have cereal--what better way to tuck your newest member of the family in than by reading F**k, Now There Are Two of You." --ScaryMommy "Mansbach gets it. He understands the trials, tribulations and seemingly never-ending stream of sleepless nights. After giving voice to two of the biggest struggles parents face, bedtime and meal-time, Mansbach is now taking on how life changes when you go from one to two kiddos." --Red Tricycle "It was the book that became a bible for weary parents everywhere--a kids' story aimed at grown-ups that perfectly summed up the struggles of sleep deprivation. And now Go The F**k To Sleep author Adam Mansbach is back with a sequel aimed at outnumbered parents." --Netmums "The most brutally honest, real-talk, and extremely relatable book any parent needs when adding a new baby to the fam is out now, thanks to Adam Mansbach." --Real Momster "A heartfelt portrayal of the horrors of starting a family." --Readasaurus Reviews "Kudos to Adam Mansbach for revealing parenting as an exercise in failed self-control and to Owen Brozman for making it look so fun despite all the despair." --New York Journal of Books Included in Shelf Awareness's "Book Title Grawlixes Equal a 'Sh*t Ton of Sales'" One of Publishers Weekly's Big Indie Books of Fall 2019 "If you're a fan of both Larry David and profane children's book parodies, don't even try to curb your f*cking enthusiasm." --Kirkus Reviews "The third installment in the adult picture book series that started with Go the F**k to Sleep addresses an older sibling whose family is invaded by a new addition." --Publishers Weekly, Fall 2019 Adult Announcements (Comics & Graphic Novels) Critical praise for Go the F**k to Sleep: A New York Times, Amazon.com, Wall Street Journal, and Publishers Weekly number one best seller. One of Reader's Digest's 25 Funniest Books of All Time! "A new Bible for weary parents." --New York Times "Incredibly appealing." --NPR "A parenting zeitgeist...A phenomenon that has stunned the publishing world and may just redefine the modern 'parenting' market." --Washington Post "Delightfully obscene." --Newsweek "Nothing has driven home a certain truth about my generation, which is approaching the apex of its childbearing years, quite like this deranged book." --The New Yorker "Go the F**k to Sleep...is a lullaby that has been darkly and hilariously undercut with threat." --The New Yorker, Cultural Comment
