In this highly accessible volume, enhanced by his use of metaphor and stories, Mochi outlines core dimensions of best practices in crisis intervention. A must read-I could not put it down!" -- Sue C. Review :
"What an amazing way to learn about and explore the world of good practice in crisis intervention! This immersive, enchanting book sucked me in to Claudio Mochi's professional (and many times personal) world-his thoughts, experiences, feelings, reactions, knowledge, and wisdom. With Mochi's poetic writing, engaging metaphors, intriguing quotes, descriptions of real-life crisis situa-tions, and a practical process/intervention model, this book will stimulate your brain, evoke your emotions, and inspire your actions." -- Terry Kottman, Ph.D., RPT-S, LMHC, NCC, Founder and Director League of Extraordinary Adlerian Play Therapists "Midway through Claudio Mochi's enthralling text, he quotes Korzybski who said 'The map is not the territory.' Though perhaps not the actual territory, I cannot imagine a better map than Beyond the Clouds. As thrilling as an adventure novel, as informative as the thickest textbook, and as personal and moving as the most intimate memoir, Mochi gives us a map and invites us on the journey to understand at the deepest level what it is to intervene in crisis situations with intention, care, and humility. Read it twice! I did." -- Jeff Ashby, PhD, ABPP, RPT-S, Professor, Counseling Psychology, Director, Play Therapy Training Institute, Co-Director, Center for the Study of Stress, Trauma, and Resilience, Georgia State University "Mochi is a master storyteller who beautifully blends science and theory with his vast experience as he takes us on his personal journey working in crisis intervention. In this highly accessible volume, enhanced by his use of metaphor and story, Mochi outlines core dimensions of best practices in crisis intervention. A must read-I could not put it down!" -- Sue C. A thoughtful, introspective narrative that is informative and charmingly candid! Thanks, Claudio for taking us along for your experience Beyond the Clouds!" -- Linda E. Homeyer, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, Distinguished Professor Emerita, Editor, World Journal for Sand Therapy Practice
