About the Book

"Jock looks around at the children and wonders, Is th' rescuer o' Gyminge among them, or will i' be necessary ta wai' another 'undred years? Or e'en a thousand?" Seven Little People, only half a thumb high, escaped when the wicked Wizard of Wozzle invaded their homeland many centuries ago. Up until recently, they lived quite securely and secretly at Gibbins Brook Farm. When he discovered their hiding place, however, he attacked, hoping to capture the lot. Frightened, they sent for truthful Beyonder children to help. Four have arrived, and soon the birds will bring even more help. But now, the wizard sets into motion an even more brilliant plan and does not intend to suffer defeat again. In the Wizard Strikes Twice Bajjer's birthday party goes topsy-turvy when a birthday present turns out to be something definitely not on his wish list. After the pitched birthday battle, the Twith realize they need to take the battle into their homeland, but they must first await the arrival of the Beyonder children and then find a way through the invisible curtain the wizard erected along the borders. Dayko's Rime, a poem written by the old high seer, gives clues to what must happen before the Twith can attain victory. With a lot of guessing and mystery, the Twith lay plans to repel the wizard's second strike and inflict a blow of their own. When the Wizard Strikes Twice, will the vulnerable tiny folk's plans succeed or fail against the wizard's magic? Will they be able to overcome the wiles of the powerful wizard or will they find themselves at his mercy?
