About the Book

-ABOUT THE BOOK: Convalescence is a time to recover and heal and learn after injury was sustained or hardship was endured. It is the period where we see things anew and struggle to understand new questions and possibilities. It is when we grow stronger from our scar tissue than we ever could without it. The writings contained in this book are the gathered and organized documentation of one person's recovery process. We are all in Convalescence... and this is my Convalescence. -ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Timothy Edwards is a young writer from South Carolina. Born to domestic missionaries to the U.S. Military, he has been blessed to meet a massive variety of people and travel all across the U.S. With a relentless energy and an inseparable family, he was able to grow up in an environment that is rarely seen today. His love for writing and lyrics was slowly birthed in the midst of trying times for him, his family, and his friends. Through trials and triumphs, aching, and accolades, Timothy learned more about life than he ever bargained for, and he hopes to encourage people with the same messages that bring him peace to this day. -ABOUT THE PUBLISHER: Innovo Publishing LLC is a multimedia publisher located near Memphis, TN. Review :
"If you appreciate the Elvish poetry and philosophy found in J. R. R. Tolkien, then you are sure to be intrigued by the contemplative writing style of Timothy Edwards, who has the inward soul and curiosity of a modern-day Christian elf. Edwards' writing is unique in that it is not anchored in one span of time alone or buttressed in only one format of expression. What is placed upon the written page is an anthropological progression of one's wonder with the world and the God who created it from infancy to young manhood. As such, Edwards proves himself to be a neo-modern philosopher, poet, chronicler, and theologian of the issues that challenge those wanderers of the human condition in our current age where the dynamics of sexuality, faith, relationships, purpose, and meaning all intersect and often times clash. And, Edwards has a term for such a wanderer...outlier, one who struggles against the grain of accepted cultural norms and who struggles to maintain his or her integrity before the presence of God. Warning! This book is not for the easily frightened of societal issues or for those seeking a linear writing style. Edwards' poetry style shifts effortlessly from rap to traditional. His review of issues springboard across the spectrum of lust to love. His quest is self-examination which forces the reader to examine their own heart and soul. But, be assured, all is explored with the ultimate purpose of honoring a God and Savior who is worthy. Of Timothy Edwards and his writing, J. R. R. Tolkien might grant him the elvish title, Istya Noleme: One of Deep Lore and Wisdom."-James R. Fisher, Captain, Chaplain, USN (Ret.) "I have known Timothy for most of his life. We first met when he was ten, and I have enjoyed watching him grow and struggle. I did not know to what extent he struggled or how deeply. After reading this book, I have a small glimpse of his inner turmoil and triumphs. Furthermore, I've even had the privilege to speak truth and give advice, which he has taken and applied to his life. I am glad I get a behind the scenes look into his life. This is not a theology book or a book on biblical accuracy. This is a book that reveals the inner mind of a youth brave enough not only to live through life but to let people read what he is thinking. The collection of writings attempts to answer the question, What goes on in someone's head as he struggles through life, culture, and faith? See how a person matures through life via the mind of the person growing. Read and bear witness to his journey-but, be ready, for thoughts are private for a reason, and when stepping into another's mind, you find things that are not all kind. Reader discretion is advised." -Jeremy Suarez, Author's Friend and Mentor
