About the Book

Today's pastor or church leader faces a host of dangers, both physical and spiritual, that can destroy ministries and families, and even take the very life of the leader. Thankfully, God has not left us defenseless in the spiritual battle against the forces of evil. In this much-needed book, Bryan Cutshall does a masterful job of clearly defining the often-overlooked and seldom-appreciated role of the armorbearer. Using biblical examples and references, he paints an accurate portrait of the armorbearer's role, position, and relationship with his or her leader. When church leaders understand and utilize this important spiritual ministry, the kingdom of God will be able to advance, stronger and mightier than ever before.

Review :
Armorbearers is right on time, a must-read not just for pastors but for laity, as well. It will help clarify the calling and help identify the ones who have been called. Bryan Cutshall has firsthand knowledge of the importance of an armorbearer and writes from this same perspective. --Tim Hill Armorbearers speaks to a real need in our church today. Pastors are under attack almost daily and need the strength and support armorbearers can give. Bryan Cutshall, writing from a pastor's perspective, has experienced firsthand the value of having those in the church who prayed for him, supported him, and encouraged him. This book is a must-read for church leaders, pastors, and anyone called to provide support to those in leadership positions. --Orville Hagan Bryan Cutshall has cut to the heart of the need for pastoral support. Having served as a pastor for more than twenty years, I greatly valued those in the church who prayed for me regularly, encouraged me often, and provided emotional support during times of crisis or discouragement. Armorbearers gives a practical, biblical description of the role of the armorbearer. I recommend it to you heartily. --Raymond F. Culpepper I believe the key to the local church is the pastor. Armorbearers is an excellent resource for helping both pastors and congregations understand the need for this crucial role. Identifying and utilizing those whom God has called to give prayer and emotional support to church leaders is crucial to the success and even survival of the modern-day church leader. --Dennis McGuire In a day of high stress levels and daily tensions, the key word is relationships, relationships, relationships. Recognizing this need, Pastor Bryan Cutshall makes a compelling case for the role of an armorbearer as an irreplaceable gift--someone to stand in the gap and help his pastor maintain the delicate balance between confidence in personal abilities and the need to trust God for insight and strength to deal with weakness. As a minister of fifty-four years, forty-two of which I have served as a pastor, I wholeheartedly recommend Armorbearers as a book that not only focuses on the problem but also provides a strategic plan of action born from the combination of research and experience. --Paul L. Walker, Ph.D.
