About the Book

Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery: Clinical Reference Guide is a portable reference guide that fills the void of an easy to read, concise, but comprehensive book encompassing all aspects of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, both in the clinical setting as well as in preparing for board exams. Each chapter follows a uniform outline to facilitate quick review of a topic, and the comprehensive nature of each chapter provides the depth required for written and oral standardized tests. Chapters incorporate authors from all specialties -- Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, General Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Oculoplastic Surgery, and Dermatology -- as well as encompass all aspects of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, from cosmetic to reconstructive to craniofacial.Formatted like the bestselling "Pasha" (Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery) pocket guide, this text provides a condensed amount of high-yield information with a multidisciplinary approach to bring a broader range of insight into complex clinical challenges.Combining key insights from senior and junior authors, each chapter provides a unique perspective on the relevant information needed by those getting themselves established within the field.

Review :
This book is an excellent pocket guide encompassing a wide range of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. It is formatted in a very similar way to the well-known "Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery" by Pasha. The book is organised into major sections of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, encompassing reconstructive, cosmetic and craniofacial areas. Each chapter, which is co-written by a senior and junior author, provides concise and comprehensive information in an easy-to-read manner. The rhinoplasty, otoplasty, facial defect reconstruction and skin cancer sections are an excellent resource material in terms of succinct and concise information for trainees, particularly those preparing for the FRCS(ORL-HNS) exam and also the European Board Exam in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. This book is an excellent reference pocket guide for trainees and, indeed, established specialists. I have not come across a similar book for facial plastic surgery, which makes it stand out in the market. It is also an excellent revision resource for exams. In summary, this clinical reference guide is an excellent, up-to-date and good value book which I would highly recommend to anyone interested in facial and reconstructive surgery.--Aftab Ahmed, Consultant ENT and Facial Plastic Surgeon, Doncaster Royal Infirmary, UK in ENT and Audiology News, Sept/Oct 2017
