Review :
"Overall, this book provides a comprehensive survey of the key topics and issues in the field of aural rehabilitation by various experts in the field - I believe the addition of Chapter 5, Cochlear Implantation: Benefits and Process by Thomas C. Kryzer, which is dedicated solely to the discussion of cochlear implants (CIs), is appropriate and well-written on a topic that is very important to our field. Every chapter has an outline at the beginning and questions at the end that are very clear and helpful - The Vocational Rehabilitation section was an important addition to Chapter 3. This is information that most AuD students do not get in their AR courses, yet audiologists interact and work with rehabilitation counselors and workers to support their patients ' transition to work. I think the recent edition of the Introduction to Aural Rehabilitation was a worthwhile endeavor, which has important topics and issues that are being discussed in the field today. It is also great that this book offers a historical perceptive as well. I believe this book is clear and informative for both graduate and undergraduate classes." --Jessica Sullivan, PhD, International Journal of Audiology (2014)
