About the Book

Reveals how psychedelics can help us plant new beliefs, awaken latent gifts, and cultivate individual and collective change

• Provides a blueprint for responsible and effective use of psychedelics and plant medicines to transform pain and trauma into profound connections with ourselves, nature, and the spirit world

• Shares exercises to help readers plant the seeds of transformation in their own consciousness, navigate altered states of consciousness and ego death, work with the shadow, and integrate fragmented parts of the self

• Explores ancestral teachings on the interconnectedness of all life, drawing on the author’s studies with indigenous elders, including Bwiti initiations with iboga

Presenting a deep dive into the world of psychedelic initiation and ancestral wisdom, Tricia Eastman demonstrates the power of plant medicine and psychedelic journeys for cultivating new beliefs, healing trauma, and accessing latent gifts within us—an inner alchemical process she calls “seeding consciousness.”

Drawing on her studies with Indigenous elders, including two decades of iboga initiations with the Bwiti of Gabon, Africa, and training with the Kogi Kággaba of Colombia, Eastman provides a blueprint for responsible and effective use of entheogens to transform pain and trauma into profound connections with ourselves, nature, and the spirit world. She explores ancient teachings on the interconnectedness of all life and the forces of nature and shows how colonization and modern culture have disconnected us from our spiritual foundations. She shares exercises to help readers seed their own consciousness, navigate altered states of consciousness and ego death, work with the shadow, and integrate fragmented parts of the self. She also examines how to respectfully engage with these potent transformative plants, substances, and ancient traditions, thereby honoring the wisdom keepers who have safeguarded these traditions across the millennia.

Revealing how to prepare the fertile soil of the mind for mystical experience, this book presents a psychedelic path to awakening that simultaneously facilitates personal transformation and collective societal change.

Review :
“Seeding Consciousness is a crucial wake-up call for our society, shining a light on the transformative potential of plant medicines and psychedelics. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in expanding their consciousness and connecting with the deeper truths of our existence.” “Everything is connected. Consciousness is the connection. Seeding Consciousness helps us awaken to the interconnections of a conscious universe. It helps transcend the illusions of separateness and inertness.” “In today’s rapidly expanding psychedelic movement, few people have taken the plunge into the mysterious, mystical, and magical waters that are the very core of what psychedelic exploration is all about. Tricia is one of these people: she is a model for others to follow and the very embodiment of the ‘new thought, ancient wisdom’ paradigm. Seeding Consciousness will not only illuminate any curiosity you have around Indigenous and ceremonial traditions, it will also inspire you to pierce the veil even further in hopes of discovering your true self. This book takes its place as a modern psychedelic classic.” “A unique contribution to the growing body of literature on psychedelics, one that emphasizes responsibility, reciprocity, and the critical importance of set and setting—not just in ceremony but in how we approach our relationship with nature. This book will inspire many to look beyond the boundaries of conventional therapy and consider the broader implications of the psychedelic renaissance. It is a timely offering that can help shape the ethical and ecological dimensions of psychedelic use in the years to come.” “Many of us in the Western psychedelic science world have been searching for initiated teachers with integrity and a clear vision for the urgent work of the times. From the very first page, I felt trust, gratitude, and respect for Tricia Eastman and a sense of deep relief that this book has been created.” “The current psychedelic renaissance in contemporary culture and modern science presents exciting opportunities for a deeper understanding of psychological healing and growth that could improve our approach to the treatment of suffering and to living together on this planet. It also presents risks that these medicines will be misunderstood. After almost 25 years of working on clinical trials that may lead to regulatory approval of psychedelics as legal medicines, I am more convinced than ever that we must also be guided by the elders’ deep ancestral wisdom that Tricia Eastman so richly shares with us in Seeding Consciousness. We need this book.” “There is no fervor like the newly converted. And nowhere is that truer than in the realm of psychedelics and healing. Fortunately, Tricia Eastman has studied lineage traditions that hold generations of wisdom and has logged more laps with clients than most facilitators. Her Seeding Consciousness results from that collective experience and contains perspective and knowledge that are invaluable to any seeker in these realms.” “The weaving together of psychedelics, ancestral wisdom, deep ecology, and expanding human awareness is surely the message that plant and molecule psychedelics are bringing to us. We must go beyond an overemphasis on personal psychology into a place of collective consciousness with all of creation. Seeding Consciousness will aid people in finding that deeper connection.”
