About the Book

Abstract art is art that does not, generally speaking, represent recognizable objects. It includes painting, sculpture and graphic art. In the late 19th century, the traditional European conception of art as the imitation of nature was abandoned in favor of the imagination and the unconscious. Abstraction developed in the early 20th century with such movements as Fauvism, Expressionism, Cubism, and Futurism. Vasily Kandinsky is credited as the first modern artist to paint purely abstract pictures in 1910. The DADA group in Zurich and Piet Mondrian and the DE STIJL group widened the spectrum in 1915-20. After the 1930s, abstraction was the most characteristic feature of the 20th century art. After World War II, abstract Expressionism had a great influence on European and American painting and sculpture. Feeling is also compared to the quality of a work of art that embodies and conveys the emotion of the artist. Feeling is often related to an unreasoned opinion or belief. In my case I believe that my abstract works simply show the character ascribed to something that was the result of my impression or emotional state. Thus you have many of my abstract works in here as my feelings. Like a visit to my Studio, artworks are from different periods, from different ages, but they stand next to each other without an organized presentation, exactly like a surprise visit to my Studio. The images shown in this book, "Abstract As Feelings" are just feelings or...perceptions...conscious recognitions...passions...sentiments...sensations...whatever.
