About the Book

Study Guide to Clinical Psychiatry is made up of 256 questions divided into 40 individual quizzes of 5-10 questions each that correspond to chapters in The American Psychiatric Publishing Textbook of Clinical Psychiatry, Fourth Edition. Questions are followed by an Answer Guide that references relevant text (including the page number) in the Textbook to allow quick access to needed information. Each answer is accompanied by a discussion that not only addresses the correct response but also explains why other responses are not correct. The Study Guide's companion, The American Psychiatric Publishing Textbook of Clinical Psychiatry, Fourth Edition, was first published 15 years ago as the only multiauthored, comprehensive textbook in the field. In the fourth edition of this tremendously successful volume, the editors expanded its focus on the neurosciences to encompass the great strides that have been made in the basic and clinical sciences. In compiling this informative and enjoyable compendium, the editors have crafted each chapter as a complete stand-alone entity. With a remarkable 85 contributorsAall recognized expertsAthis comprehensive text is clinically relevant and eminently practical for medical students and residents, psychiatrists, neurologists, psychologists and neuropsychologists, and a broad range of professionals who work in many different clinical settings.
