Review :
Psychiatrics Genetics is an interesting and well-written book that meets the objectives of the review series. It provides an up-to-date summary of genetic findings within psychiatry, as well as describing various approaches to determining genetic contribution to variation in psychiatric disorders and methods at locating specific variants that contribute to risk.

This book will provide young clinicians with the basics to move forward to learn more about the genetic transmission of psychological disorders. Highlights include the depth and foundation set in Chapter 2, as well as the chapter on the genetics of anxiety and mood disorders.... This book would serve as an excellent handbook for clinicians to keep nearby while treating psychopathology in a clinical setting.

This is a first-rate book summarizing, for the clinician, the current knowledge in psychiatric genetics. I highly recommend it.
