About the Author :
Melvyn N. Freed has served extensively in higher education as a faculty member and administrator. He is former vice president for administration at Arkansas State University and Governors State University (Illinois). Robert K. Hess is Associate Professor of Educational Research and Measurement at Arizona State University, West. Joseph M. Ryan is director of the Research Consulting Center and Professor of Education at Arizona State University, West.
