About the Book

This clear and comprehensive text shows social work students and practitioners how to make psychosocial assessments and plan interventions based on a solid understanding of the child's needs. Illustrated with detailed case examples, the volume covers a variety of different helping methods, including family?centered approaches, working through children's groups, working one?to?one with individual children, and working in collaboration with schools.
