About the Book
You Are a Victor Not a VictimEveryone has a story to tell. What's yours? Is it a script of pain, trauma, fear, and regret, a sad saga of shame, low self-esteem, and brokenness? Beware! If your story defines you, it will rob you of your destiny, steal your dreams, and keep you in perpetual bondage. So, why let it?
This book challenges you to reimagine yourself and envision a new you... not defined by the untold, spoken, or written narratives of your past but empowered by your future. On this healing journey, you will experience authentic transformation as you stand against fear, face the dark places, and speak life to yourself. You will move from surviving to thriving!
Actively participate in your healing and restoration with this effective and interactive tool. Each chapter is strategically designed to stimulate your thoughts and let you release your innermost feelings in writing. You will capture and process your experiences, be motivated by powerful affirmations, and be touched by inspiring quotes.
You can't change your past, and your story may follow you through people, places, and things. But no matter how your story unfolds, what the plot is, or who the characters are, don't let it hold you hostage. With this book, learn how to do the work, break the chains, and free yourself! It's your story... it's not you.

Review :
"This is such a timely and insightful work. People have experienced trauma at various levels and are affected differently. Niesha has the experience, dedication, and expertise to help the reader-and even the therapist-to understand self-sabotaging behavior. At times, we function in dysfunction as if it is normal; however, it is not. When faced with trauma and challenges, we are forced to take the necessary steps to become better by doing the work. Reading this book and applying the principles shared is indeed doing the work. Trauma victims are looking for a way out but don't understand how to pursue freedom. In this book, Niesha skillfully provides the tools to health and wholeness. I love what Niesha wrote in Chapter 3: "I no longer have to walk in procrastination and create problems for myself. I no longer have to engage in those behaviors that are not conducive to me living." She takes the reader on a journey to victory. Niesha shows us how to diminish triggers and pursue positivity. She profoundly teaches the reader that healing also starts with speaking life over yourself. This book is an essential resource that will be life-changing." Lady Vicki L. Kemp, Bestselling Author of Better than Yesterday and Grace in Deep Water
"Niesha Davis has seamlessly weaved support, guidance, and encouragement into the pages of this powerful book. As a life coach, I sometimes work with clients who are overwhelmed by the trauma they carry through life. This is a book I enthusiastically recommend to help empower the healing process forward for those who have experienced trauma. Niesha gives the reader the permission to heal that so many who are struggling in their process crave. Dive into this book and allow the words to guide you to your strongest and most empowered self yet." Miriam Isinini Popp, CWC, Owner of Vibrant Lifestyle Coaching
"I am honored to write this endorsement for Niesha, whom I have known since 2008. Our relationship grew from being colleagues as Social Service Workers to Licensed Clinical Social Workers providing psychotherapy. Niesha is not only a gifted writer, but she is also passionate about helping others heal from their trauma. This book will help you acknowledge the negative experiences that happened to you and empower you to break free from the fear that keeps you perpetually cycling in trauma." Pamela Shakir, MSW, LCSW, Author of Creative Strategies: A Self-Guided Journal to Help You Kick Depression
"This book is an empowering and compassionate read for anyone who has experienced trauma and is on their path toward healing. Niesha's words flow beautifully with such intention and courage as she shares tools and strategies as one walks their journey from trauma to healing. As Niesha writes, readers are not only able to be transparent with their story but also acknowledge that they are not alone in this journey we call life. This insightful tool provides space to release attachments to things, events, memories, and people that no longer serve them. By sharing her knowledge and expert insight, her text provides guidance and encouragement that is practical and relatable and will serve as a valuable asset to anyone who has experienced trauma as they navigate their own path toward healing and reclaiming hope, joy, and self-love." "As a licensed mental health therapist and Christian Empowerment Strategist, I find trauma to be a major issue in the lives of many. The complex, multifaceted nature of trauma hinders one's ability to move past their painful past and keeps them stuck in cyclic bouts of depression and anxiety. Niesha provides a blueprint to tackle trauma and gives us tools to move toward a healthy and healed life." Dr. Antionette D. Brookins, PhD, LMFT, Author of The Anatomy of Anger: A Girl's Guide to Living Her Best Life in Christ
