About the Book

The story sets off from Sejirhat police station of Kolkata, India, where 'Jay', a boy from East Pakistan, gets arrested for stealing money. When he speaks out the reason, it leaves the police inspector astounded. He tells his story to the investigator; the story of the other class of human beings; the story of innocence and maturity, love and hate, planned love and real love, confusion and certainty, survival and annihilation, regret and contentment, and life and death. The inspector moves on to tears and frees him without registering an FIR. After staying in Kolkata for a few months, he goes back to his own country, where he left behind his Thakurda, and rediscovers that God is real. Based on one of the most gruesome history event, the story in the first phase hovers around two young cousin brothers', life, challenges, and unplanned-love which isn't allowed in their country. According to the society, love is a thing of planning. As the story moves on, it reveals some real heartbreaking events which were never told, or say, failed to get attention for they belong to The Other Class Of Human Beings. Editor's note - "An intriguing yet heartbreaking representation of one of the most horrendous incidents of history that changed lives of millions of people, nevertheless, remained untold for the decades. Breathtaking!"

About the Author :
The author was in the eleventh standard when he first attempted to write a short story. When he went to his art teacher with his, presumably, a masterpiece. The teacher's first comment was "You are overusing the word 'said'." And ever since then he determined to write his first novel without using the word 'said' even once. And here it is! The Other Class Of Human Beings; the author's first novel. The author considers himself lucky to have been born in a small village in Rajasthan state, India, without which, he says, he wouldn't have been able to learn to love mother nature and go deep down in people's lives. Photography and writing, he feels, are integral parts of his emotional world. The author generally writes about politics and social issues on many independent platforms. Although, the author does not consider himself a complete writer yet due to his own unique definition of 'a complete writer', what, the author believes, stands him in the center of a specific class of writers' society is his own unsteady, challenging, and a wanderer kind of life which, he says, provides him the best tool to know more about people and their lives.
