About the Book

Sergeant Zoey Sebastian, a Combat Medic with the Trillian Alliance's 1st Special Forces Group, rises to the call from a group of ancient and powerful beings called the Asein, to decide the fate of her people, her galaxy, and her universe by becoming the Parasu of Pandor'I. Despite the dangers from war and the unknown, Sergeant Sebastian and her unit are paired with a small band of explorers to investigate the mystery of the Ancients in search of artifacts and technology, to define their people's place in the universe, and help defeat their enemy. Knowledge and technology of the Ancients could decide the fate of the Alliance, but little does any one know that a much larger conflict awaits beyond the horizon.

About the Author :
Ellema Ummia is the name used by the author of the Shadow of the Ancients series. Ellema is also narrating the Shadow of the Ancients series of novels, taking on both authorship and storyteller. The name was chosen as a pseudonym to bring the story character to life as an in-character real-life role-play personality. Ellema (the character) is of the alien race called the Asein. She was once the designated records keeper and the chief scribe of the Asein people (giving her the title Ummia). In self-initiated exile from her people, she roams around in secret to keep powerful knowledge out of the hands of their enemies, the Xulzeru. From Ellema's teachings in the story-line was birthed the Followers of Ellema cult. It is a primary religion within the Urulme' universe and is a matriarchy, with all of the leaders of the sect being Priestesses. Followers do include the likes of males, but only females who take on the burden of Ellema can become Priestesses of the order. Their role in the universe is to carry on the teachings of Ellema from their Holy script, Silent Ellema. As the name suggests, Ellema is a personality that does not like to be front and center in the lime light, for it would defeat her covert agenda. As such, the author took on her character, being of like mind. Ellema's secondary purpose arises in the telling of the Shadow of the Ancients series, illuminating the truth of the Xulzeru to us mortal humans, as though the events unfolding are real, to prepare humanity for the coming battle between good and evil. In the yet written book, Silent Ellema, the teachings of Ellema and her followers restrict people to a simple code and standard of living to remain pure and in-tune with the magical force of the Or'I, a sort of god to the Asein people, for they teach that all existence is created from the Or'I. The holy text tell additional stories, providing insight in "need to know" history, the origins of life, and the creation of the Xulzeru. It also describes the cause of the war the Asein fight, known as the Urulme' (pronounced OO-rule-may), and why it is so important for mortals to know and understand. As a primary round character, narrator, and author (in-character), Ellema Ummia breaks the mold set by other writers in the Science Fiction genre.
