The perfect guide to help you embed metacognitive approaches to your teaching. What is metacognition and how can you use it in your teaching? Review :
Being aware of our own ways of thinking; that′s what metacognition is but do we have a firm grasp of what it actually means? In this unusually detailed, impeccably researched and passionately written text, Anoara Mughal has really encouraged us to think about thinking.  Anoara takes thinking beyond the conceptual into the practical and this book helps us address metacognition not as something to be frightened of but something to embrace in assembling and supporting opportunities for learning in our classrooms. Written with reference to the Teachers Standards and Early Career Framework, this book is ideal for anyone wishing to develop their understanding of the thinking processes at work in their classrooms and indeed in their staff rooms as they continue to help our young people to be the best that they can be. Readily accessible and digestible in bite sized chunks, ‘Think!’ will support individual teacher development as well as inform whole school continual professional development for many years to come.
