How do you make a rainbow? About the Author :
Caroline Crowe spent ten years as a national newspaper journalist and section editor before taking time out to look after her three young sons. She lives in Hampshire with them and her husband, surrounded by chaos and their ever-growing collection of children's books. Caroline is the author of several picture books, including Tiny Tantrum, Pirates in Pyjamas, Is That an Elephant in My Fridge? and Santa's New Beard. Cally Johnson-Isaacs has loved to draw ever since she first picked up a crayon. After graduating in Illustration from Newcastle Art College, Cally spent a few years illustrating greetings cards before becoming a freelance illustrator. She now works from her home studio where she has a lovely view of the Northumberland countryside and is kept company by Jasper the dog. Cally has illustrated several books for Macmillan, including With My Mummy, With My Daddy, Rabbits Don't Lay Eggs! and the Mimi's Magical Fairy Friends series.

Instead he reveals that rainbows grow out of hope, kindness and helping others. She learns that even on the gloomiest of days, a rainbow can light up the sky and fill your heart with Love. A gorgeously illustrated lyrical children’s tale that is a pleasure to read. A delightful rhyming picture book that reads aloud well and offers a warm re-assuring message for young children at a time when it is most needed. The warmth of the relationship between child and grandparent shines through the story, highlighting its own rainbow. Gorgeous, bright illustrations work well with the text, as does the colour palette chosen for each double-page spread. The last few pages encourage children to make their own rainbows of the things they love. Each spread emphasizes love, kindness and the joy of friendship and delightfully concludes by finding the rainbow that’s inside you. The bright, bold, illustrations combined with the easy flowing rhyming text, make this a great book to read aloud at home or to a class.
