About the Book

It's cold. It's dark. There's a storm raging. And theirs is the only house for miles around. They have to let him in, right? Emma and Nathan moved to the country to get away from it all. To start again. But this damn stranger just keeps bringing it all up again. And he's scaring them. He says he was run off the road by a maniac. They wish they'd never answered the door. Let's just hope the police arrive soon, then this will all be over. Knock, knock! Someone at the door again. Another stranger. Here? In the middle of nowhere? He says he was run off the road by a maniac. That can't be right. Not both of them. But it's the same story. Exactly the same story. That can't be right. "Threshold grabs you from page one. Scenes move flawlessly, there are never any lags or slow moments, just intensity from Fade In to Fade Out." BlueCat Screenplay Contest Winner of the Empire Award (thriller category) in the 2015 New York Screenplay Contest(c)

About the Author :
Tom Trott has been writing since childhood. Starting aged only eight; writing, producing, and performing plays with friends for the entertainment of his fellow pupils at Junior School. This started an obsession that has never stopped and began his interest in theatre and the rush of excitement that comes from hearing the audience laugh and gasp at what he has created. Spending the next few years wearing out his brother's VHS tapes of Star Wars, he developed an interest in what will now always be his true love: cinema. He consumed a ridiculous number of films, studying them and absorbing their influence. He shudders to think how much pocket money he spent collecting every single Bond film on VHS, although the spines did at least make a lovely montage when stacked together. He steered his education towards cinema too and wrote his first feature screenplay at college, and then his next three at the University of Sussex, where he achieved a first class Film Studies BA (Hons). After graduating he attended courses by The Script Factory, which allowed him to enter and win the MovieScope Screenwriting Challenge 2011. He was shortlisted for the NFTS Screenwriting MA course in 2012, in 2013 he was selected for Theatre Royal Brighton Young Writers, run together with New Writing South, and in 2014 he was selected for the BFI and Creative England's Brighton Talent Centre. Last year he was invited to attend the Bafta Breakthrough Brits launch, hosted by Christopher Nolan. He is currently working with Latest TV on 'Daye's Work' a UK television pilot, and won the Empire Award in the thriller category in the 2015 New York Screenplay Contest for his feature screenplay 'Threshold'.
