About the Book

Wellington has always felt like an outsider, and for good reason: thirty years ago, he was a kitten until an ancient witch transformed him into a man. After fleeing his past to work animal control in the city, he is called back to the mystical redwood forests of Northern California when his creator goes missing. There, he must face the "son" he abandoned-a talking black cat with a human mind-and a coven of eccentric witches who are the only family he has left.

But a darker magic is stirring in Spartica. Scott Edwards, a power-hungry warlock and disgraced politician, has stolen the artifacts needed to summon a god of chaos. Scott doesn't just want to win an election; he wants to be humanity's savior by burning the world to the ground and recreating it in his image. As reality begins to unravel and the gods themselves start taking sides, Wellington is the only one who can get close enough to stop him.

A Wild and Untamed Thing is an urban fantasy adventure about identity, redemption, and the thin line between the human and the animal. It's a story where the shadows have voices, the trees are watching, and sometimes the only way to save the world is to let out your claws.

About the Author :
Jerry J. Davis is a Scorpio with his moon in Scorpio, which means he's a Double Scorpio. To make matters worse, when he was a toddler in Douglas, Arizona, way back in the 60's, he was stung by a scorpion. It was a radioactive scorpion, too, which is why he now has super powers. Okay, he made that part up. But he is a Double Scorpio who's been stung by a scorpion. By all rights that should make him a superhero named "The Scorpion" but unfortunately, no. He just writes quirky science fiction and fantasy stories often involving gods and goddesses, the true nature of reality, and more often than not, beer.
