About the Book

As I've retired, I'm reducing the price of my books - a thankyou to all my readers!

THE AUTHOR
Marianne Richards MSc., DipTHP worked as a professional for over 2 decades in adult mental health, as a Rehab in an Asylum, a Counsellor in the NHS & private practice healthcare. Her qualifications include MSc., (Mental Health Practice), Diploma in Ericksonian (Brief) Therapy, Certificate in Behavioural Family Therapy & a four year training in Psycho-dynamic Counselling (under Westminster Pastoral Foundation). She has personal and family experience of mental illness.

ABOUT THIS BOOK
This is volume 2 of a self-learning guide for new professionals and lay readers. This volume covers diagnosis and treatment of mental illness in hospitals and the community. This book is NOT for self diagnosis but to demonstrate the processes. The book contains fictitious case studies, showing how diagnoses are formed, symptoms, treatments and clarifying exercises. A typical 'day in the life of' a range of mental health professionals is useful for dispelling some of the myths around treatment and diagnosis.
