Jupiter's Diary: Volume II - The War Comes Home

Detective Seth Hamilton lies in a coma, an attempted assassination that failed. Patricia Hamilton is recovering from injuries suffered during her brutal kidnapping at her uncle's headquarters in Florida. Jupiter is filled with rage is making plans for revenge. Jupiter and Hamilton, one a former Special Black Ops crew leader and a major metropolitan police department are ramp up their efforts to bring to justice those responsible for poisoning people, mainly the young, with their drugs. Jupiter's Council of Nine pursue those who slip through the cracks in our judicial systems. Attempting to enlist the aid of Hamilton, Jupiter, the self-proclaimed judge, jury, and executioner and a man sworn to uphold the law are at odds over methods. TV monitors flash in Hamilton's squad room. Pictures from a drone somewhere over a river bed flying low. Jupiter reveals he "borrowed" the device. Hamilton's squad watches as a convoy of trucks caring one hundred million in drugs is taken out by the drone's missiles. Jupiter instructs Hamilton to have a SWAT team standing by at a location where Jupiter brings a notorious gangster guilty of human and drug trafficking, his attorney, and an a crooked FBI agent to the building. Following the bust Jupiter and Hamilton meet, together in the same room, for the first time. Jupiter selling an idea the pair to join forces. Hamilton the legal arm of the duo using both their vast resources to fight the war both men want to win. Hamilton refuses, but is drugged and kidnapped by Jupiter's men. Hamilton comes to tied to a chair. Jupiter, his voice electronically distorted as always, lays out details his relationship with Patricia. Jupiter is her father. Noises outside the building cuts the conversation short, is freed by Jupiter as a SWAT team breaks through a metal doorway. There are two quick shots from a corner of the dimly lit room. Over Hamilton's objections SWAT officers open up with a fusillade from their automatic weapons. When Hamilton finally gets a cease fire, he finds a body slumped in the corner. The corpse is not recognizable, ripped to pieces by the slugs. The detective is unharmed by still reeling from the information he had gotten. He sits back in the chair across the room from his wife's dead father with no idea of how to tell her that her father was killed by SWAY. Patricia didn't know the truth about be father. A home later that night a cell phone on a coffee table buzzes. Hamilton reaches for it not believing what he sees on the small screen. Putting the phone to his ear listening to the altered voice of Jupiter asking, "So have you decided to join me in my fight?"

William Addison's background has threads running through radio, television, and print media's over several decades. His career spans more than fifty years, beginning in radio news, where he was awarded 28 United Press and Associated Press Outstanding News Coverage; received over a period of 14 years. Addison moved into television, both anchoring and as news director, for an independent television station in St. Louis. He and his news department received four national news awards from the Associated Press in the same year for their reporting on illicit drug testing on mental patients at Missouri State Institutions. Bill was credited with developing the concept of a five minute news report, five times a night in prime time, for television. Called "Update News" Addison anchored those newscasts for seven years. His newsroom was one of the first to use a new media for news gathering called "portable video camcorders" instead of shooting news events on film. The television station, and Addison, were lauded by the FCC for "The Most Innovative Programming of News." Bill moved from the independent station to CBS serving as Executive Producer for News in the St. Louis CBS station. His responsibilities included overseeing all newscasts and street coverage for the #1 rated news station in St. Louis. Addison left CBS accepting a position as an investigative reporter for Jack Anderson's organization in New York. Bill worked with the North American Newspaper Alliance, covering such stories as the Buford Pusser "Walking Tall" trials in Tennessee, investigating the UFO's of southern Missouri, and deliberate violations of drug testing by Serile Labs, while with the Anderson organization. Bill has produced television programs for CBS, NBC, ESPN, HBO, Showtime, and others for independent distribution. He has also been a stringer for ABC News. .
