About the Book

Allysa Melody Carrington, is an extremely intelligent child with a photographic memory, but an orphan without a memory of herself. In The Throw away, Allysa starts this journey as a six-year-old who is only an object for a sadistic ADoptive father, known as AD. Surviving by recognizing her AD's evils and her own strengths, she manipulates her intelligence to manifest gifts which takes her far away from her AD, but not before he oppresses her with a few secrets causing her bondage to him. Her gifts allowed her an escape through an ex pro football player, Gerald Kapulani, whom operated an exclusive Band Camp for talented at risk students. They're at risk of not reaching their true potential due to poverty and the world's discriminating practices. However, Allysa escapes the evils of her AD only to find herself with many personal battles in a world that's full of evil, and that's were Allysa discovers herself coming of age amidst a host of new acquaintances, and a mystery. A mystery she must solve, while understanding herself, and why there was a need to know. One new acquaintance is Jacob Kapulani. A hard-bodied Basketball player who is just graduating college, and entering into the NBA draft as a highly desired player by many pro basketball teams and many women. Jacob is also an accomplished musician with an ascending recording career, and the youngest of four brothers that are professional athletes and musicians who treats Jacob special. Also treating Jacob in a special way is his girlfriend and his mother with whom Jacob has a special bond. With all this going for him, Jacob, who admires Allysa, is an insecure young man trying to enter into manhood free of his brother's and controlling mother's influence. Throughout The Chronicles of Allysa, which will host more volumes, we experience Allysa's many conflicts and endeavors, while she deals with a seductive romance, her goals, and a maturing Allysa who continues to grow into her own which becomes Allysa's urban Cinderella story.
