About the Book

"-HAPPILY EVER Thin-: A Short Guide To Weight Loss" is my attempt at a weight loss book: ) I recently lost over 50 pounds, which yes is a big accomplish-ment in itself but again I am still a work in progress. I don't expect to ever be "skinny mini" as I was once called after a 60 pound weight loss. I had just had my third child and was only 29 years old at the time. So, that being said times were different and the weight came off much easier. BUT now being over 40 years old well, things are a bit different and no, the weight doesn't come off the same. The work is hard and yes, I am not an "exercise guru" who loves exercise. I will not lie-I HATE EXERCISE. I also can't stand when people say they "love" exercise because I cannot fathom the fact that anyone could so-call love exercise. Although, nonetheless I did lose the 50 pounds of weight and was over excited by this fact so, I choose to write a book while still in the process of losing it! I am no expert but I am "REAL" with no gimmicks, no glitz and no glamour to the bare necessities of losing weight. I am not a celebrity who may have their so-called secrets to it all. I'm sure behind the scenes most of those celebrities have a trainer or two and a cook that helped in getting them where they are today with weight loss. Most people want to believe all they hear in the world today. We want to believe these celebrities did it all by themselves or with the help of the so-called name brand diet. It's just not that easy. Also, when they say you can do it all by changing your diet...they are lying to the consumer. You cannot lose weight by just changing what you eat or how much you eat. It really sucks but yes, you must exercise too. You can choose whatever you like or can tolerate in my case but you have to work at it. In life nothing comes easy and the best rewards to offer yourself with weight loss is seeing the results. I unfortunately now go in cycles because i'm not really thinking straight: ) In order to do this you must have some will-power and want it. You must want it really bad because it's no "joy ride" that's for sure. The only consolidation here is that in my book it does say "If you have to have that let's say "cookie" and you normal eat way too many...then, just give yourself one. If you never allow yourself any freedom than you will probably fail before you even start or not start at all. I have "snacks" that work for me and do not add calories. I do not know why but they work for me. So, what works for me in regards to that may not work for you but with some investigation (trial and error) you can probably most likely find out what works for you. If you know that "cake" adds tremendous calories and doesn't agree with your body then by all means find something that does. But of course, if you can abstain the weight will come off quicker. Okay, So..."HAPPILY EVER Thin-: A Short Guide To Weight Loss" is my attempt to explain to others how I lost weight and if I can do it anyone can do it. I know you hear that a lot from a lot of people out there-especially those celebs. But I'm a "Average Jane" here without the gimmicks and coming from me it should mean a bit more to you. You don't have to kill yourself with the diet and you don't have to kill yourself with exercise but you do have to do a few things which will help you to lose the weight. I include both low-calorie meals and the higher-calorie ones. The reason being is you can make it lower calorie for yourself and the higher calorie way for the family or hey, put them on the healthier plan. The meals are great and they would love them also while probably not knowing the difference to be honest with you. I can't give away all the content of the book but it does contain the so-called "boring" facts of nutrition, diet and exercise. Please come and take this journey with me, while I continue on my way to finishing up my weight loss goals! My goal here is if I can help one person to lose weight than I
