About the Book

THE DYNAMICS OF FORGIVENESS (Stopping the Hurts of Offenses Before They Stop you). Cecil Barham, the author, states that he has never experienced seeing angels or having great visions, hearing audible voices or being taken to heaven. But unexpectedly he definitely experienced something unique from God one Saturday morning when truths on offenses and forgiveness began pouring into his heart. His heart was suddenly opened to certain aspects of forgiveness essential for the healing of so many lives in marriges, homes, families, friendships, and the local church. In this updated and enlarged edition of his first book on THE DYNAMICS OF FORGIVENESS discover how God has dramatically used these truths to change the author's life and a very significant number of lives that he has shared them with through writing, seminars, conferences, and pastorates since 1975. Included are also two visual aids: The Eye of Forgiveness and The Church - One or Many? These truths have now stood the test of time in the author's life and ministry and continue to be as relevant today as they were when the author first encountered them in his own life. Some of the major thoughts covered in the book are: What Forgiveness Is and Is Not; Why You Can Forgive But Never Forget; The Partial Knowledge Problem; Unique Advantages of One-Way Forgiveness Over Two-Way Forgiveness; Why Our Forgiveness Must Be Unconditional; Three Common Obstacles to Obtaining What God Has for You; Five Steps to Forgiveness; Binding and Loosening, Retaining and Releasing; Forgiveness As We Are Nearing the End-Times. At the end of each of the seven sections in the book are thoughts of reflections and questions for the individual and/or study groups. Also included is an appendix with four brief articles to help those who do not understand or may be struggling with the Christian world view. The four articles are: Taste and See; What Is the Bible; The Church-One Versus Many; and, Biblical Words and Phrases Used in the Book. Cecil Barham, the author, has served in full time ministry as the lead pastor of eight churches, and evangelist, and conference speaker since 1958. He studied at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas; Imperial Valley College, in Imperial Valley California; and, graduated from Pierce College in Woodlands, California. He is evanglical in Biblical theology.

About the Author :
Cecil Barham, the author, states that he has never experienced seeing angels or having a great vision, hearing audible voices or being taken to heaven. But unexpectedly he definitely experienced something unique from God one Saturday morning when seemingly from nowhere truths on hurts from offenses and forgiveness begin pouring into his heart. He published the messages from this encounter in his first book, THE DYNAMICS OF FORGIVENESS, which sold over 4,000 copies and has elicited numerous testimonies of changed lives. At the urging of many who have read his first book or attended one of the many gatherings where he has spoken the author has now released an enlarged revision of his first book, THE DYNAMICS OF FORGIVENESS (Stopping the Hurts of Offenses Before They Stop You). Cecil Barham has served in full time ministry as the lead pastor of eight churches, an evangelist, and special conference speaker since 1958. He studied at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas; Imperial Valley College in Imperial Valley California; and, graduated from Pierce College in Woodlands, California. He presently resides in Spring, Texas, and does guest speaking at various churches in the United States on The Dynamics of Forgiveness and other special topics. He has been married to his wife, Darlene, since June 1957. They have three sons, nine grand-children and five great-grandchildren. Two of his sons are presently in the ministry. One as a staff worship leader in California and the other as a full time youth pastor in Texas.
