About the Book

Who is Ian Bergveg? He has no friends, no family, and cannot recall his past. The only clues in his possession are his briefcase and his apartment, although he has no memory of how he acquired either. Also in his is possession is his mysterious gift. It is a power of immense and unfathomable proportions; an ability he's barely begun to understand but which will soon lead him to question all he has come to know about the world around him. And soon the time will come for Ian to decide whether this power is truly a gift, or rather, a curse from which he cannot escape? As Ian searches for answers about his identity, his past, and his power, he soon comes to find that he is not alone. Ian is about to find himself torn between two factions intent on equally opposing paths. One leader intent on abolishing the use of their gift, the other who will see their gift used more than ever. As new friends and enemies are made, Ian will find that the path that leads to the truth is much more perilous than he ever imagined. As the path that leads to answers offers as much illusion as it does truth; a path in which perception does not always equal reality. The Mountain Path

About the Author :
With an intense creative spirit beginning very early in her childhood, D.C. Bowman is an author and artist whose work continues to move and inspire through imaginative and intelligent story lines and elegant, finely crafted prose. D.C. Bowman first began her writing career with emotionally poignant, always thought provoking poetry and short stories. After winning writing awards and accolades in college for her short stories, she took a break from writing to traveling across the country. Bowman began her travels moving from Fort Lauderdale to New York to North Carolina and then to New Mexico. It was in New Mexico that she decided to pursue her love of film-making. Her original calling would not be ignored however, as she began a new path, adding novelist to her ever growing resume. After a move to Denver, Colorado and then back to New Mexico, D.C. Bowman finally made it home again to North Central Florida where she currently resides and continues to write.
