About the Book

This book focuses on the use of teaching video for teachers’ professional development and growth. The objectives of the book are to discuss the benefits of video analysis of authentic teaching to improve teacher instruction in various contexts, such as advanced teacher education programs, in-service teacher professional development activities, teacher evaluation, and so on. Carrie Eunyoung Hong, PhD, is a professor of literacy at William Paterson University in New Jersey. She has extensive experience directing federal and state grant programs that provide teacher professional development.



Irene Van Riper, EdD, is an assistant professor at West Liberty University in West Virginia. She has in-depth experience in teacher preparation for reading specialists and teachers of individuals with disabilities.
