Review :
Once you’ve seen inside the world of Teaching Rebooted you can’t go back, and that’s a good thing: this book lights up the evidence base, connecting original research with classroom impact. A great resource for educators. Teaching Rebooted is an essential toolkit as it navigates the practitioner through ten fundamental elements of teaching practice. The practical sequence of identifying issues, summarising key research, and concluding with a range of high-impact strategies ensures that you can’t help but feel equipped and empowered to know not just the evidence behind strategies, but also how to appropriately apply them. One of the best edu-books I’ve read and an absolute must-read! The book will help reboot teaching so it is both evidence-informed and effective and is relevant for all stages of education. For anyone who likes scientific evidence and research to support why we teach in the way we do, or why we should change our approach, this is their perfect book. Each chapter is supported by laboratory tests, field work and educational studies combined with a wealth of incredibly, comprehensive support material. Teaching Rebooted encourages the reader to critically engage with their professional practice, based on tried and tested strategies and interventions that contribute to more effective learning and classroom performance. This is a concise and well-written text that effectively summarises and synthesises research in order to provide teachers with a rationale for reframing their professional practice. It supports teachers and challenges institutions to recognise educational myths and to place evidence-based practice as the foundation for learning.
