Review :
This absorbing book celebrating a unique military asset commands close attention. This book is the perfect present for the Guardsman in your life. Well illustrated and packed full of stories, told in the words of those who have served, Those Must be The Guards is highly recommended. It is a sincere contemporary review of service over 50 years by the seven regiments of the Household Division. Whilst a colleague tells me every aspiring officer should read Those Must Be The Guards, it's also a faithful record that is of interest to a far wider audience. This handsome volume is testament to the Division's vast contribution to the Army since 1969, the industry of the authors in writing it and the foresight of Headquarters Household Division in commissioning it. The authors describe the quick march of the Coldstream Guards as 'perfect in time and tempo,' and the same applies to their book. This work serves as an introduction to the military prowess of these fine regiments.
