Review :
Tobi's words warmly and confidently guide you through the journey of blending your career with your family, from the early discussions about embarking on parenthood, to progressing in your job. Woven through the experiences of others, along with her own, you'll find clear and practical expert advice to help you navigate the different challenges that arise. Tobi is clearly passionate about helping mothers aim for far more than surviving the juggle, she is on a mission to help us thrive. Tobi's advice is practical without judgment (a rare skill!). This book is essential for anyone trying to blend a career and family, and navigating the challenges that come with it. Managing motherhood and career is an age-old conundrum that doesn't seem to be getting any easier, but this smart and tactical book by Tobi Asare, founder of My Bump Pay, tackles all the issues that women (and their partners) face when navigating a workplace as parents. It covers negotiating promotions and pay rises while going on maternity leave, sharing parental leave, the best childcare for your needs and budget, and how to return to the workplace while never sugar-coating the reality of the situation in the UK (where 43,000 women have dropped out of work to look after their families in the last year). It gives you hope.

[The Blend] isn't just for high-flyers; it's packed with practical information on your rights and responsibilities, pay and benefits, flexible working, and childcare. Asare also covers navigating the maternity-leave return, confidence and promotions.
It's especially handy reading for mums-to-be wanting to go into this exciting but demanding life-stage with eyes wide open.

Weaving together a comprehensive and easy to follow guide for new or aspiring mothers in the workplace she meticulously breaks down the common struggles mothers face while chasing their careers, and provides valuable insight on how to thrive, not just survive.
