About the Book

A lightning-fast police procedural from an up-and-coming talent, The Hunted introduces a homicide detective who gets the shock of his life while tracking a most ingenious serial killer From a writer whose previous works Robert B. Parker declared "compelling . . . swiftly told" and James W. Hall called "top-notch" comes this first electrifying thriller featuring New York City homicide detective Frank Russo. The Hunted begins with a little girl witnessing a horrible crime. Due to the child's testimony, the murderer is convicted. Eighteen years later the killer is released on parole, and his mission is to track down the now grown woman he feels betrayed him. A deranged dance of masked identities ensues, and it is up to newly single homicide detective Frank Russo to unravel the case.

This one could go all the way.--John Lutz, author of Night Kills Can keep a story going so fast that you wish it were longer.--Stuart Kaminsky, author of Always Say Goodbye Haunting and harrowing. Like Harlan Coben and Dennis Lehane, Barcomb stitches a tragically taut connection present and past. A major suspense novel.--Jon Land, author of The Last Prophecy and The Seven Sins Left me on the edge of my seat from page one.--David Hagberg, USA Today bestselling author of Dance With The Dragon - "Booklist - "Kirkus Reviews - "Library Journal - David Hagberg, "USA Today" bestselling author of "Dance With The Dragon - John Lutz, author of "Night Kills - Jon Land, author of "The Last Prophecy "and "The Seven Sins - Stuart Kaminsky, author of "Always Say Goodbye - TJ Moroney, NYPD Lieutenant Detective Squad Commander of the 18th Precinct Midtown North ""A likable new series detective...may remind readers of Richard Montanari's Cleveland cop Jack Paris."
