About the Author :
Anne S. Pruitt is Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence and Prefessor of Education in the Department of Educational Policy and Leadership at the Ohio State University. She is a graduate in psychology of Howard University, with graduate degrees from Columbia University. Her experience includes serving as dean of students at Albany State College and at Fisk University and on the faculty of Case Western Reserve University. She has authored several publications dealing with desegregation in higher education, including the desegregation process in Nashville, Savannah, and Norfolk. She is a member of the Southern Education Foundation's Research Task Force.
