About the Author :
Born in Portsmouth, NH in 1975, Lono has studied the occult since 1986, though feeling like he was born to it. His studies have caused him to explore the depths of nearly every religion. A solitary Pagan practitioner in his high school and early college years; he later became a member of an Alexandrian coven; during which time he awakened as a psychic vampire; and subsequently left shortly after. In the early nineties prior to graduating from Holliston High School, he was awarded The BSA Honor medal for saving a life (at considerable risk to self), and also became an Eagle Scout. In his college years Lono attended Fitchburg State College. During that time he helped found a short lived pagan alliance within the college. In 1997 he attended a semester at the University of Hawaii in Hilo; where he began studying the Hawaiian culture. It was during this time he met a man in Waipio Valley and began studying Kahuna lapa au, herbalism and shamanism. It was also during this later interval that Lono under tutelage began intensive study, and practice of Ceremonial magick. In 2002 he graduated college with a B.S in Communications Film/Television. Lono became the Owner of the Psyvamp Information Exchange in 2000. During which time he began teaching other psivamps (mostly in private). He is now the current owner of PsychicVampire.org founded in 2005. In late 2005 Lono became a member of the Voices of the Vampire Community or "VVC." His goal is to teach tolerance, and bridge the gap between the pagan and vampire communities as well as the GLBT community. His literary influences include Jack Kerouac, Scott Cunningham, Ken Kesey, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, W.B. Yeats, Aleister Crowley, John Dee, and Hunter S. Thompson. Lono is a former CBS affiliate Master Control Operator, turned Producer, Software Engineer, a published Author, an Artist (Oil paint), and an accomplished Magus. He currently works as a Licensed Massage Therapist, certified in Swedish massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Reiki, Deep Tissue, Sacred Lomi (Hawaiian Temple Bodywork Style), Aromatherapy, and ETPS/E-Stim.
