About the Book

A Baby Under The Tree by Judy Duarte Dear Santa, It's me, Jillian Wilkes. I just did something totally out of character: I spent the most glorious night of my life with a stranger named Shane Hollister. Fast forward three weeks. The sexy cowboy with the sweet smile left me with an incredible, life-changing gift... Hey Santa, Houston ex-cop Shane Hollister here. I'm still reeling from the news that I'm going to be a father! Ever since Jillian delivered her bombshell, I've made up my mind to really get to know the Texas blond. Now my top priority is to let go of the past and make a future with the family I've always wanted! Something To Prove by Cathryn Parry Digging for the truth is what Amanda Jensen does, and interviewing ski legend Brody Jones is a journalist's dream come true. Yet there's clearly chemistry between them that neither expected. Acting on their attraction, they spend one incredible night together. Still, Amanda's instincts tell her there's a bigger story waiting to be told. But if she does her job to find out what that is, she puts Brody's comeback in jeopardy...and risks what they share. Now Amanda has an impossible choice: her career...or his.

About the Author :
Judy always loved reading romances, but never thought of herself as a writer."English was my least favorite subject in school, but I was always a storyteller," she admits. "Growing up, I was the kid in the neighborhood who decided what roles we would play and the pretend situation were in."As a single mom with four children, Judy returned to school and graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a degree in social ecology. The new direction helped her confidence grow, and when a hero she could believe in came into her real life, she was even more inspired. Determined to do something about her love of writing, Judy joined Romance Writers of America and met her two critique partners. The trio have worked together and encouraged each other ever since.Judy likes to take ordinary characters and put them in emotionally compelling situations that make them grow. "It takes some of the stubborn and hurting characters a while to learn there is always a way out," Judy maintains, "but when they realize their options, there's no stopping them."Her unpublished stories won not only the coveted Emily and Orange Rose Awards, but also earned her the status of a double Golden Heart finalist in 2001. Her first book, Cowboy Courage, sold to the Silhouette Special Edition line, where she seems to have found her niche. "I credit a large part of my success to my critique partners, Crystal Green and Sheri WhiteFeather, who also write for Silhouette," she says.On those days when a stubborn hero and a headstrong heroine claim her undivided attention, she and her family are thankful for fast food, pizza delivery, and video games. When she's not at the keyboard or in a Walter-Mitty-type world, she enjoys traveling, romantic evenings with her personal hero, and playing board games with her kids.Write to Judy at P.O. Box 498, San Luis Rey, CA 92068. Cathryn Parry's first piece of romantic writing was a love letter she wrote to the boy who sat next to her in first grade. By the next Christmas, she was asking for a typewriter to organize her growing collection of adventure stories inspired by Nancy Drew. But it wasn't until Cathryn was an engineer working a less-than-inspiring job in a ball bearings factory that she dared to write her first novel, a romance about a woman who found the courage to pursue her deeply-held dreams. After that, Cathryn knew for a fact she was a novelist, and was hooked on the writing process. In her non-writing life, she figure skates (she competes yearly at the U.S. Adult Nationals), travels as often as possible for fun and adventure, and haunts archives in the addictive quest for genealogy research. She lives in a small town in Massachusetts with her husband and near her large extended family.
