About the Book

Onsite Opportunity is story of a young boy coming from lower middle class family in India. He joins the software industry after his degree. Advent of software industry in India in last 2 decades has changed the horizon and lives of the young generation like never before. This has materialized the middle class dream of foreign trips and a new lifestyle. Ganga is a representative of this young generation of India which is getting exposed and transformed with multiple onsite opportunities as India embraces the 21st century. Ganga is a wide eyed dreamy boy who watches his life passing by with the onsite opportunities coming to him. These opportunities for him are as engrossing as Gulliver's or Sindabad's adventures. He mingles and comes to know a thing or two about the different people from his own country as he stays and shares accommodation with them. He also meets and greets rest of the world as onsite opportunities knock his doors and take him across the seven seas. Ganga matures and acquires the worldly knowhow with these onsite trips. He becomes a keen observer of men and the moods and picks up survival skills by risking his own skin. He has encounters with different personalities as he shares his shelter with them. He gets acquainted with the cultural and moral values of different countries. He is always left in a dilemma of judgment and choice between the two parallels. Sense of right and wrong always eludes him. At times Ganga gets amused by the comedy these onsite opportunities present. At others, he looks back at life and tries to reconcile his gains and pains in this roller coaster ride. He has his share of illusions and enlightments in the process and really no regrets.
