About the Book

The concept that the electrons are continually moving around the nucleus which proposed by Rutherford, and the matter-wave theory which suggests that moving electrons behave as a wave suggested by de Broglie, led to the development of the currently accepted model of the atom called Atomic Orbital Model. According to this model an atom's electrons exist around the nucleus as standing matter-waves or electron clouds in inner and outer orbitals, which have different energy levels. However, because there is no evidence for this kind of electron's motion around the nucleus, and that the matter-wave experiments were performed by artificially accelerated electrons, the validity of this model is questionable. According to the present -day belief, the electrons in the atoms of a transparent medium play the major role in the transmission of light through that medium. But an experiment discusses here, involving the interaction of light with hydrogen gas, which leads us to assume that, contrary to the present-day belief, the electrons or nuclei in the atoms of a medium have no role in the transmission of light through that medium, and that atoms contain not only nucleus and electrons but some other state of matter as well, which acts as this transmission medium for light and slows down the light's speed (reason for the refraction of light). This matter plays the major role in the structure of an atom. This indicates the necessity of developing a more accurate model of the atom that is more consistent with explaining all phenomena in the atomic world. Electricity and magnetism, what is light, how is nuclear energy released- these are some of other important points discussed in this book. A deeper knowledge about matter and energy helps to find more reliable explanations for phenomena like the paranormal activities, supernatural phenomena, etc., which presently have no proper explanations. The last chapter discusses some new technologies which can possibly become real in the future. It includes technologies which utilize strong nuclear force, a new kind of vibrating field, refers to as 'X-field vibration' which travels much faster than the speed of light, low-energy nuclear reaction etc.

About the Author :
Joseph George is doing research in atomic physics. In 2008 he received an invitation from the 8th Asian International Seminar on Atomic and Molecular Physics (AISAMP8), University of Western Australia, Perth to present papers on structure of atom, what is radio wave and how is nuclear energy released. In 2012, he received an invitation from the 8th International Conference on Atomic and Molecular Data and their Applications (ICAMDATA2012) conducted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), to present a paper on the structure of the atom.
