About the Book

Hop on an (imaginary) plane and discover the Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis Mysteries-"thoughtful police procedurals set in picturesque but not untroubled Greek locales" (The New York Times), pairing intriguing characters and beautiful settings with twisty and cunning crimes. Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis faces a very strange case in this dangerous, fast-paced international mystery set in Greece. Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis' longtime assistant, Maggie, returns to her ancestral home on Ikaria for the funeral of her 104-year-old grandmother. But her grief quickly turns to suspicion. Not only had her yaya been in good health just a week before her death, but there are bruises on her arm that no one can explain. When Maggie learns that several other long-lived Ikariots recently died in the same questionable circumstances, she can't help but wonder if there's a serial killer on the loose. Meanwhile, back in Athens, Kaldis and his chief detective, Yianni Kouros, are investigating a smuggling and protection ring embedded in the Greek Drug Enforcement Administration, and its possible involvement in the assassination of an undercover cop. As Kaldis and his team uncover a connection between the elder-killings on Ikaria and the DEA corruption case, they realize that there are international intrigues at play-which might well stretch beyond the reach of the law, and are far more dangerous than anyone had imagined . . . With its gorgeous Greek locations, engaging characters, and fast-paced plotting, this critically acclaimed international crime series is an excellent pick for fans of DONNA LEON, LOUISE PENNY, MARTIN WALKER, and DAVID HEWSON. Find out why The New York Times named Jeffrey Siger as Greece's thriller novelist of record today! About the Author :
Jeffrey Siger is an American living on the Aegean Greek island of Mykonos. A former Wall Street lawyer, he gave up his career as a name partner in his own New York City law firm to write the international bestselling, award-recognized Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis series. The New York Times has named him as Greece's thriller novelist of record, and the Greek government selected him as the only American author writing novels that serve as a guide to Greece. He's also served as Chair of the National Board of Bouchercon, America's largest mystery convention, and as Adjunct Professor of English at Washington & Jefferson College, teaching mystery writing.
