About the Book

Eve Cole loves her small apartment in Dublin's city centre. It might come with the noisy Party People downstairs and Larry, the handsome and charming ex-con next door, but the floor-to-ceiling windows make it perfect for her job painting fake masterpieces: Renoirs, Picassos, and especially Van Goghs. And she's good at it. Maybe too good. When eleven million euro appears in her mother's bank account, it turns out that Eve's been unwittingly involved in one of the greatest art frauds in history. Now she has to figure out a plan to get her painting back and return the money, without implicating herself or her family. Enter neighbour Larry. Even though he's turned his back on his shady past, he's the only one who might be able to help her. Will Eve get her painting back? Or is Larry just another fake? Eve's also about to find out that in love, as well as art, the trick is knowing when it's the real deal.

About the Author :
Inspired by Enid Blyton, Martina Reilly started writing when she was eight years old and hasn't stopped since. At eleven years of age, she started writing a series entitled The Gang for the amusement of her friends. Four years later, she found herself working on a novel based on a character from The Gang: Book Four. This book was published years later as Livewire, which won an International White Raven Award and was sold to Germany, Italy and France. More teenage books followed, including Dirt Tracks which won a Bisto Merit Award and was shortlisted for an RAI reading award. Martina has been writing adult fiction for the past ten years. Something Borrowed, which tells the story of a woman trying to trace her birth mother, was long-listed for an Impac award. She enjoys writing for the stage too, and many of her plays have been performed by amateur dramatic groups. Martina is also a drama teacher and actress. She lives in Kildare with her husband and their two children.

Review :
Praise for Martina Reilly 'A heart-warming page turner ... Martina is one of the best' 'Compelling, heart-wrenching ... will keep you riveted till the end' 'A cracking read - warm, splutter-out-your tea funny, and unputdownable.' 'Has all the elements of an excellent read: mystery, drama and romance' 'Clever, frank and funny' 'Martina has the wonderful knack of combining sensitivity for a serious subject with a big dose of humour' 'Reilly has a wonderful comic touch, both in the way she draws her characters and in her dialogue . . . a brilliant read'
