Until Death Do We Part

This book started out, like most of my books, as a research project. The research project turns into a book, and voila! There you have it. This particular volume was not that simple. When you are writing about the Knights Templar, or the Privateers, or even ancient Egypt, your readers will know you know what you are talking about and read the story. Not necessarily true with this particular Jack the Ripper novel. Hence this addition to the book, a historical account of Jack the Ripper. In the course of my research I have finally discovered who Jack actually was! I know you've heard it all before, but here is the difference: I did research before I spouted accusations. I have done exhaustive research to prove and disprove my theory, thereby confirming my hypothesis. I left nothing out - even if it didn't help my theory. I included it all. It is only through the inclusion of all evidence that I got a clearer picture. Most of the books about the Ripper that are out there are sloppy researches at best and outright libel at the worst. If a piece of evidence, or a particular victim doesn't fit into their neat, orderly, already-decided-upon-before-research-began-conclusion, it is ignored. That is lazy, dishonest and an outright blow in the face of every writer who is working hard to do their very best for the public. As I stated before, in the course of this research I have discovered who Jack the Ripper truly was- that is, as far the most logical view of all the evidence is concerned. It was by including all the evidence that it became clear. When I did make this discovery I realized that no one would ever believe me if I wrote just the fiction novel. Truth being stranger than fiction, putting the truth in fiction makes it unbelievable. Hence the two books of this volume. The first book is the fiction book. It is based entirely on the logical suppositions of the second book, on how the events that took place could have happened, how they could have been viewed through the eyes of the killer. This second book is the research in all of its detail. I have written this the only way I know how, as a Cognitive Archeological Art Historian, more about that later. To make it more easy to read I wrote this part as an open letter, of sorts, to Jack the Ripper. It includes all the evidence, detail and profiling of the criminals. Yes, not all of the victims attributed to Jack are his, and some victims that weren't attributed to him were - like I said, I left nothing out even if it didn't fit. That was another problem I kept running across in my research, if an unsolved murder did not fit the Ripper profile it was cast aside. What they failed to realize was that these were people and they deserve justice. That is why this book doesn't center on Jack, but on all the victims associated with the Ripper murders. I had to solve, as best I could, all the murders to come up with the absolute definitive answer. No one was just left out. As far as the Jack murders, I describe which victims are Jack's, but who he is and why he was doing what he did - and what happened to him after the murders. I hope this volume is both edifying and compelling. I hope that once you have read it you feel, as I do, that Jack the Ripper is one demon that has now been exorcised never to be pulled from the pits of Hell again. It is over.
