All rights not granted by the above license are retained by the author. Abstract: ABSTRACT This study aimed at examining students' attitude towards group project learning (GPL). Attitude is defined as preference for GPL. A survey on students' attitude towards group project learning was carried out using questionnaire. The questionnaire was used to measure students' preference for GPL in relation to group dynamics, teachers' role, perceived learning outcomes, gender, year level and group composition. A four-point Likert scale was used in the questionnaire. The sample included 675 S1 to S3 students from the researcher's school. The data were statistically analysed using SPSS. The results showed that the respondents preferred GPL. There was significant difference in students' preference for GPL among different year level. S3 respondents preferred GPL more than S1 and S2 students. No significant relationship was found between gender or group composition and students' preference for GPL For group dynamics, S3 students had a more positive view of group dynamics than S1 and S2 students. There was also a significant difference in students' views of group dynamics among students of different group composition. All girls groups have a more positive view of their group iiidynamics than other group compositions. No significant relationship was found between gender and students' views of group dynamics. In addition, the results showed that there was a significant difference between gender in their perceived learning outcomes. Male students tended to perceive more gain in learning outcomes.
